    Sweet Tooth - Post Bypass

Tried my FiberOne granola bar. Not good......It tasted delicious and it said it only had one gram of sugar but it made me super sick for about an hour. I was very nauseous and throwing up. Dumping syndrome at its best. UGGGG.....I guess back to the drawing board.

    September bypass buddies??

So are i know there are lots of different instructions out there but i see lots of people say 3 meals a day only, no grazing no snacks. Is that what most of you are doing. My surgery was 9/10 so i am cleared for everything, but i was told 4-6 small meals a day is what i should be doing. I don't have a nutritionist to follow up with. So i just wanted to see what most every else was doing at this point. Did you start off with 4-6 small meals and progress to the 3 meals as you can eat more? Or are some of you still doing the 4-6 small meals a day? Thanks for your help in advance!
  13. Check in! Monday weight in at 189.8 the morning! So down 4.2 since the challenge started. Yay me! Haven't got the routine of the intermittent fasting down yet. My worse time for eating is between 5-9 pm. And I haven't been exercising yet. I am working 7 days a week still, 10-14 hrs a day, so my time is limited and i am exhausted but i have to make myself work out even if it is 15 minutes on the treadmill. I am going to start this week!
  14. Thank you! Good luck to you also!
  15. So when I decided to have a revision from sleeve to bypass, due to bad reflux and weight gain, my surgeon warned me that my weight loss results would be slower than if I had not had previous WLS. I defiantly felt like I lost more quickly with my initial surgery. I just wondered for those that are farther out from revision......... Did you reach your goal? How much of your excess weight did you lose 40% 50%, 60% or more of your estimated weight loss goal? Do you feel that your weight loss was slower than with your initial WLS? Did you weight loss slow dramatically after the first few month? How long did it take you to get to goal? I would love to hear any information or progress stories you revision veterans are willing to share. Thanks!
  16. Thanks for the response and link. It was very helpful! I try not to compare myself to others but it is hard not to sometimes not too. I am happy with my progress so far. It just sometimes when you have a slow weight loss week you can't help but wonder, Is this it? Is this all I am going to be able to lose this time? But i am still early in the game. I am 10 week post op so I am going to be positive that there is more weight loss to come and stay on track with my plan.

    September bypass buddies??

I am so impatient with my weight loss . I try not to be but when you are eating so little you expect it to just fall off. I have lost 42.2 total and 27.2 since surgery 9/10/18. I keep telling myself on average that is pretty good for 9 weeks post up. It's just to bad I can't lose it as easily as I can gain it...lol How is everyone else's weight loss since surgery?

    September bypass buddies??

Anyone have days that nothing you eat sits right? I am 9 weeks out and for the most part I do well with what I can eat. I can't do very dense meats, they just don't sit well, but soft chicken and ground beef, lunch meat etc are fine. However, every now and then, like 2 days ago, everything I tried to eat made me feel awful and came back up. Nothing would settle right except sugar free popsicles. So, after 3 attempt during the day to eat something that would not stay down, that's what I ate for dinner was popsicles. But yesterday I was fine and I ate no problem. Just weird this pouch of mine?

    Food Before and After Photos

Found a yummy recipe that i want to try i though i would share. You can make it very adaptable by switching up the ingredients for vegetarians, or your food tolerance or preferences. http://afterthesleeve.blogspot.com/2012/09/80-calorie-southwest-taquitos.html?m=1

    Revision from sleeve to bypass

Me too i was concerned about dumping syndrome and rerouting my intestine. My worry was what if I decided to do this surgery and go from being a perfectly healthy person (other than being overweight) to choosing to have this surgery and what if i am sick all the time after? Then when i had the complications i beat myself up that i shouldn't have had the surgery and my fears had come true. I worried what if this is how it will always be, and i always feel terrible. and nauseous and weak and sick. But that stage passes and you improve and learn how to deal with your new stomach. It has been and continues to be an adjustment, and learning phase for me, but i feel like i am on the upswing now and that i made the right decision.
