Bingeing with Bypass
NYJenn replied to MissLindseyR's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Honestly, I have to throw it away because I’ll keep picking. -
So I’ve been stalled for a few weeks. Starting a 10 day pouch reset tomorrow morning. It’ll be a good way to refocus myself. Anyone else doing one currently? I’d love some support Bypass on 7/10 Lost 63 lbs so far
-
Thanks for the info. However, I am doing the reset under the supervision of my nutritionist so I feel confident in my choice.
-
I guess it isn’t technically a reset, just a recommitment to myself. I haven’t been “eating really badly” I just know I’ve had some foods here and there that I probably shouldn’t.

Favorite restaurant meals post WLS?
NYJenn replied to BelleOfBatonRouge's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Not really...you can’t eat much, prepared food is full of hidden calories, sugars, and carbs and I don’t like reheated foods. I just don’t bother -
Not doing great in pre-op diet
NYJenn replied to sleevemebaby7781's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Time to recommit! We are all so lucky to have had/be having this surgery. Pre-op diet can be difficult, but it’s such a small blip when you compare it to the big picture. Think about the end result, think about your family, your kids, your goals. Stay focused and good luck -
Birth Control Options after VSG
NYJenn replied to amanda-xo's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Obese women who take the pill have a higher likelihood of blood clots and stroke. My OB refused to let me use an oral contraceptive -
When I changed, the whole family changed. They can roll with it, or go find someone else to cook dinner

Don’t wait! You’ll regret it

Feeling frustrated
NYJenn replied to BelleOfBatonRouge's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I did, it was a little boring but completely doable. -
BCBS gave me a paper where I filled out previous weight loss attempts (WW, Atkins, etc) I gave it to my doc and he signed the bottom. That was all
-
Toothbrush and phone charger, don’t bother with anything else
-
I don’t bother going out to eat, it’s expensive and has Way too many calories. There are much better ways I’d like to spend my time and money. Maybe some day, but right now I’m only nine weeks out and I’m Making myself a priority
-
Just went last week; size 18/20 and approx 230 lbs

How soon did you return for work?
NYJenn replied to prkitty's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
8 weeks, but I’m a teacher and I was home for the summer anyway -
See if another doc in the same practice will sign off. That’s absurd

Afraid that I'm going to let fear of pain prevent me from going through with surgery
NYJenn replied to Oct517's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums

Roux-en-y gastric bypass and PROBLEM with the silicone ring
NYJenn replied to Michele611's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Never heard of the ring. I wouldn’t want a foreign body in my body -
Pain meds for two days, lots of walking, and get some rest

Losing while eating???
NYJenn replied to FatBlocker's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Calories in and calories out...it’s a math game. Follow your plan -
Water, your cycle, the heat...these can all create fluctuations in weight. Don’t worry
