Fat shaming ?? Post op over 4 yrs

This is probably an unpopular option and Maybe I’m the minority but I honestly don’t feel empathy for obese people. I didn’t get to almost 300 lbs by accident. I ate my way there! I put every item in my own mouth, maybe I hated myself for doing it, but no one else made me fat, except for me. Why should I ask people to feel compassion for me as I’m actively killing myself day after day? Honestly, I wouldn’t have wanted some strangers sympathetic eyes. I knew what I was. I didn’t/don’t need them to feel sorry for me.

We have the same surgery date...I’m at 202 and patiently waiting to dip under 200 😁
  3. Currently in bed, 2 blankets on and the mini heater running next to me. Miserable

Fat shaming ?? Post op over 4 yrs

I do judge sometimes. I’m not ashamed to say so. Plenty of people judged me, sometimes silently, sometimes with their eyes, sometimes with their loud mouths. I don’t ever say anything to these people though, but in my head, I do judge. 🤷🏼‍♀️

    Discouraged

7 weeks I had lost about 35, but everyone is different. I slowed down a lot once I headed back to work in September and now I’m cruising again. Your body does it’s own thing

    They cancelled my surgery

Sorry, I know in the beginning you were having trouble staying on your pre op diet. I didn’t know if that had something to do with it

    Headache and migraines

Acupuncture if I can get an appt. I also have a rescue medication specific for migraines. Cold works better for me, then hot. Dark room and sleep
  11. If you have significant reflux I would absolutely go with the bypass. It odd to me how many people think that the sleeve is the “easier” of the two surgeries. They are both major surgeries.
  12. Over the past month, I can’t seem to drink room temp water anymore. Feels like a rock hitting my stomach Looking for suggestions other then ice water which can be tough on my belly sometimes too. I have to make sure I’m hitting my water intake Thanks

    “Clean Your Plate!”

To piggyback on this...anyone have any parental advice? My boys get a little of everything that is cooked for dinner (for example; chicken, broccoli, and rice) on their plate however I don’t force them to eat. We always have fruit and yogurt as an alternative “meal”. I do this because I refuse to make a separate Meal and also because the more I expose them to the foods we eat, the more often they actually try them (honestly, they really do!) Any other moms or dads have different ideas/advice?

    Sleeve or Bypass... help!

I had a bypass and I don’t regret a thing. The sleeve is too new for me, enough long term research.
  21. Mine went well; turkey, tiny bit of mashed potatoes, tiny bit of yams, and like one bite of stuffing, lol. Skipped dessert. I was able to have enough bites of different things that I didn’t feel like I was missing out

    Thanksgiving

I think you have to do what’s right for you. If staying away from thanksgiving altogether this year is best, then do that. You need to be a little selfish and take care of you : )
