    Headaches

I used to have migraines that would send me to the Er. Now they have lessened in intensity, frequency and length. Something about how being overweight makes the internal body inflamed. I can’t remember exactly. Once you start losing the weight and eating better foods, the inflammation decreases

I haven't told anyone about my surgery

I didn’t tell anyone either. Told them I was having my gallbladder out (which was true) and that I needed to change my diet afterward bc there were foods I couldn’t tolerate anymore. Also, that I was seeing a nutritionist (also true) I don’t feel bad about “lying” it’s my business

    Coffee?

I started drinking coffee in very small amounts about 4-6 weeks after surgery. Now I have 2 cups per day without any issue
  6. You really some time to get through all your requirements and get your head in the right space. I have BCBS, mine was 3 months, but it was a busy 3 months

Me and the husband advice please

Meal planning def doesn’t take all day. We do menu planning on Friday/Saturday before we go shopping. Mexican Mondays, Tuesday and Thursday the kids pick and prepare dinners (with help), Wednesday’s are bento box dinner bc the kids have karate, Friday’s are Breakfast. We meal prep on Sunday’s, usually during football. Now it’s just for an hour or so on a Sunday. Start with a rotisserie chicken or make a big batch of soup. It’s super easy

    Yup. I regret this.

It will absolutely get better. I had a good 2 months where I was throwing up almost every time I ate. Then I had a virus and stalled For a month. These things happen, it’s part of the process. You have to advocate for yourself, I sat my butt in the surgeons office and wouldn’t leave without and answer.

  15. I have BCBS, had to have my doc sign off that I had done weight watchers for 6+ months before. My requirements became 3 nutritional appts in 3 months
  16. I absolutely agree! When you feel and look better, you don’t need to rely on clothes as much to try and give you a boost. I had WAY too many clothes

    ❤ FEBRUARY 2019 CHALLENGE ❤

I’ve been so sick for the majority of February. Haven’t lost much of anything. But I still took a pic yesterday to remind myself that it’s a marathon, not a sprint
  18. You have two posts about the same topic. It just doesn’t seem like you are ready for WLS. When I decided, there was no doubt in my mind. It sounds like you aren’t there yet

    Got my surgery date!!!!

Goes over the surgery itself, answers questions you have, explains how long you’ll be in the hospital. Meeting the surgeon was actually one of the last things I did. Every program is different
  23. Nope...no tricks You need to be ready and fully committed
  24. I wore a dress, nothing fancy just like a cotton summery dress. I didn’t want to risk anything rubbing against my incisions
