  1. Depending on their ages, I wouldn’t. Children don’t need the added stress

Happy to keep each other accountable if you need help
  3. I went for my one year post op appt today. I’m 5’7” and 166 lbs. my BMI is 26, still in the overnight category. She told me at two different points during the appt she would like me to stop losing weight. I’d like to at least get to the “normal” range for my height. Ultimately it’s still my decision, I just thought it was strange. Any thoughts?
  4. She kind of snuck it in there...I guess it didn’t really stick until afterward. Of course I’m going to send her a follow up message, I was just looking for thoughts from others

    Super Cold

    I’m always cold now....less “insulation” I guess 😂
  6. She said my blood pressure was low, that’s all. Didn’t say if that was a “bad” thing, just that it was low 🤷🏼‍♀️
  7. If you are prone to reflux, bypass is a better option. Sleeve is not an “easier” surgery. The are both very invasive
  8. I told my parents and my husband. That’s it. I did WLS for me and I don’t owe anyone an explanation.

    365 days later

I had the bypass, totally life changing My arms started out ~15 inches and are currently about ~11 inches. I have been really diligent about building muscle and taking my collagen and protein. Plus I think genetics play a huge roll in how our skin reacts

  18. 30 for close friends/family 50 for co-workers
  19. Search 3 week stall, it’s pretty common among WLS patients. As for the English muffin, what’s done is done, but please-no more! You are still healing!

Having surgery tomorrow and I cheated

My surgeon didn’t even have a pre op diet. Just nothing to eat/drink after a certain time. You’ll be fine. Also, July 10th will be my one year anniversary. It’s a good day! You’ll do fine

As hard as it might be, you have to take pictures. There will be days/weeks when you don’t lose, or you wonder if your surgery was worth it, or you’re just mad that you can’t eat cake 🤣 Having these pictures help soooooo much
