Yes it is. I just wish I had my surgery NOW! Waiting for bills to get paid and then I will get it done. Frustrating!

I called and the first visit is $300 and each one after is $150..... I have searched a few and these are the cheaper prices.. I was thrilled.

To bad I didn't have mine done yet or I would suggest we get a car pool going.... None in Boise as of yet. Michelle

Ok, I just called Cyndi with the number in Pocatello that "Rice Fill" gave. The prices are way better then what I have been searching for in other places. I think I have my fill center without a plane ticket........ yeahhh... Ok, now for the money to get this surgery............. I can wash cars.. "giggle"....

I have not had my surgery yet. Waiting for money but, I was approved to have it. I have chosen Mexico to have it done at. I live in Boise and I would be willing to drive to Pocatello to have fills if I had to. It's closer then going back to Mexico. I rather do them here in Boise though... I guess there are fill places in Portland. But, the flight expense. I don't know. I need to get all my ducks in a row before I get this surgery...........

Harvard? And to think you would have something else better to do then to sit in front of a computer all day just to inform others you didn't do your homework on your Dr. like you should have. Instead you rather put down others........ I don't get it.

OH lordy, I have so much to learn. All I want to do is have a safe surgery where ever I get it done at. I know it will be in Mexico now which place. I need cheap and safe......... I feel like a sex advertisement now.

What? I was added to this post over a week ago. I am new to all this. I have only sent out one message. The last was my 2nd and this is my 3rd.... Obviously the cosmo person got under your skin? I do however need a little info. I am not sure about the USA fills. What other places do them? Or companies? I can not afford this surgery as of now. I am working alot of over time to pay off a few bills so I can do this. Lordy if I can just make it until then......... ;P~

As a newby here, I kinda liked Cosmo and reading all her "stuff", "crap" and so on... Sometimes you gotta just point, laugh and shake your head on ignorance. I to am very cautious on going to Mexico but, so far, I have called, spoke to a wonderful lady and she sent me a book. The American Dr's here in Boise won't even get me past the receptionist and tell me my BMI is to low. Then they tell me it will be 20 thousand or more cash before the surgery..... Now, how many people for sure she knows who has had a horrible surgery with Mexico? Who has died and so on. She obviously has taken tours in person to see for herself......... right?? Or is she just trying to comment on something she knows nothing about fully?

Dr. Kuri? What hospital is he from? I fear going to other places. I mean you hear of mexico being horrible but, I think there is "horrible" in the states too. I am just angry that the states are over charging. I mean, 1-5 thousand ok... But, we are talking about the same surgery that Mexico charges which is around what, 8500 at the most and here in Boise it's around 25K........... how rediculous is that???? You need to fill me in on how you are doing now. And let me know how I can get ahold of that Dr. of yours so I can do more research...

I am from Boise and I am considering the lap band in Mexico. I had a friend who had Gastric bypass in Canada and did wonderful. Then I had a another friend who had the same surgery in Boise Idaho and has had problems ever since and will continue to do so for the rest of her life. She even had to have a reversal in a Seattle Washington hospital. She was lucky that he would even take her as a patient. I think it all depends on how the persons body handles it. Right now though, I am looking around, taking notes and getting ready for my surgery when I find the right one. Heck, I don't even qualify in the states.. My BMI is 36. I do qualify in Mexico.
