Lovenox is the blood thinner they use most frequently to keep from getting blood clots. You more than likely got some of it in the hospital. Alot of people have to continue it for a short period after surgery.

Did you have to do the lovenox injections? If so for how long? Im guessing it could just be from the blood thinners.

If you have acid reflux or similar issues then i was told not to do sleeve. I am having bypass next week. I chose it because Ive seen alot of revision stories (not saying sleeve isnt good or doesnt work because there are many success stories as well) but for me personally, I wanna make sure I only have to go through it once. I figure ill go all in. I realize i am at higher risk for vitamin deficiencies, but i will happily replace my blood pressure meds etc. with vitamins if it means being a healthier weight!

Hello and welcome! You are so lucky to finish that quickly. I started in February and am scheduled the day before you for gastric bypass also. Good luck with your surgery!

@ChellNC Glad to hear your doing well, but sorry to hear about the hubby. Hopefully it is something simple and he doesn't have to have surgery.

I feel exactly the same way. I am having surgery the day after you and I keep saying that im probably going to get hit by a bus or something before then. I have the worse luck ever!

If your surgery was 4 days ago, how has the scale stayed the ssme for 5 days?

Today is day 10 and the only thing i want is a slice of cheese pizza!

I have heard of people adding powdered milk to glasses of milk, shakes, etc. It doubles the protein in milk.

EGD finished, cleared for surgery next Tuesday! Can't get here soon enough!!!

I cant believe you all lost so much during the 2 wk pre op diet. Im halfway and havent really lost much of anything!

My surgery is the 28th, im sure I will feel the same way!
