@YoBL Its awesome you are able to identify the mental hunger thing. That scares me more than surgery, not being able to get past that.

WHat kind of protein powder is the tastiest/cheapest?
Chrisb428 replied to marfar7's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
I bought the syntrax nectar sampler on amazon. I did it so that i would have a variety and wouldnt get sick of one or two flavors. I also bought the unjury chicken soup protein powder as a savory option. -
Good luck!

Summer 2018 Surgery Buddies: POST-OP Discussion
Chrisb428 replied to Ylime's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Good luck Laura, hope everything goes well! -
I am still pre op and picking up items here and there to try. I will be seeing my nutritionist again once I'm approved and can/will ask her as well. I'm curious as to whether a certain soup I tried and really liked is ok. It has 13 g sugar total (3 of which are added, 10 natural) Along those same lines how many grams of natural sugars ARE ok post op? The rule of thumb I was given is to try and stay under 10 grams/serving, but didn't know If that was total or added. Also, if something has say 13 but I am only able to eat a half serving, is that ok? Sorry if I rambled and im really NOT stupid, I swear....lol

I love cottage cheese with halved cherry tomatoes as a sort of savory option. -

Mine was overnight at a sleep center. I had to stop any caffeine by 4 pm, be there by 9pm, get my wires hooked up, be in bed by 11 and i was out around 6 am. Its not bad, just don't plan to get a good night sleep.
