Checking in!!! Challenge starting 233 This a.m. weight --- 226 Holiday stresses in general . Funeral of my grandmother who raised me this weekend. Work stress, long hours.. day to day life! Pushing on ..she didn't raise a quitter. Getting thru all this while losing still is my motivation... if only at the end I can say I did it !! Sent from my SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app -

Sugar free fat free pudding is my go to. It kills the urge to eat anything else sweet. I make it with protein powder added so it's a great snack. I made chocolate butterscotch cups all measured out at 1/2 cup . Only 115 calories 10 protein. Sent from my SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app

how do I make myself try new foods?
silentpeace replied to veehappy's topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
I should add just start small with changes. New spices, taking healthier choices and cooking with "comfort" spices and go from there. Make small changes and just go from there. Don't try to change everything at once! I still don't eat any fish... yuck. Sent from my SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app -

I'm the same way . Picky eater and the unhealthy tastes better. I'm now 3 weeks post OP and I am enjoying trying new things now ,new flavors really , cause not everything I once loved agrees with me. Cauli mash is wonderful..who'd of thought. Sent from my SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app -

Bariatric haul! What have you bought for your journey or plan to buy?
silentpeace replied to Yo-yo girl's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Carrying protein powder -on the go pre measured .. made me think of a baby formula dispenser. My sister has one and its pre measured to just open and dump into water. Spout fits into the bottle top for no spills. I wonder if this would be good for protein powders?? I am way off from my surgery date... but I am a planner... This information everyone has provided is WONDERFUL!! this is a long process and this site has answered 99% of my questions/curiosities! Thanks to everyone!! Has anyone else experienced this?
silentpeace replied to Lstoreyhodgins's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I understand this feeling. Hopefully it's just a rut and nothing more. Being married for so long. ...just creates ruts. You have to work to get past them. Speaking to a therapist may not be a bad idea. Sent from my SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app
