I 2nd that. Right down the center of my head like a reverse mohawk. I havn't cut my hair in 2 years but am starting to become really tempted to give myself a baldy. What is collagen, well what do you buy to add it? Just had a follow up with my NP today and doing good. A little low on Vit-A and Protein but it's higher than my last visit. Go back in 2 months for my 6 month.

Protein shakes or adding protein powder to liquids
J San posted a topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
So tonight is the end of clear liquids (stage 1). Tomorrow I start on full liquids and can start having protein shakes. Besides the fake sugar aftertaste one of the things I don't like about them is the frothy or bubbly they get when mixed in a blender. Not premixed, I rather make my own with powder. I can't imagine the swallowing those frothy bubbles is good for the air in belly situation either. I was having the same problem with adding flavorless powder to my broth this week so I started just shaking the contents in a bottle. It still froths up or bubbles up but it doesn't last long. My question is if there is any way to avoid this happening? Can I do it in the blender some way, maybe add something to keep it from happening? Thanks in advance. -

Patience. You may think you have it but you will need much more. Nothing in this process happens as soon or as fast as you want it to or thought it would. Also read these forums. Even the ones you don't think have anything to do with you, you never know if you may experience something similar. You will learn tons. Good luck on your journey!!!! -
With that much crossfit are you gaining muscle. Maybe that's what is keeping your weight up?

Summer 2018 Surgery Buddies: POST-OP Discussion

Odd tasting but not horrible. Definitely not the normal taste of a chip, probably all the crap missing. -
I do count the shakes I make myself, don't like the pre-made, which have usually have 24 to 26 ounces of water. The most water I gulp is a mouthful, any more than that will hurt and probably come back up. It seems like at night when I'm in front of the TV I get more of my liquid in. I'm not doing anything special for the loss, I don't even exercise and hardly walk anymore. My calorie intake is just up to 800 per day now, I have 4 meals a day. 2 are shakes and 2 are a protein with usually a veg. I guess the amount of water (suggested by @Matt Z) does help A LOT. No worries on the gout thing and THANK YOU for being impressed. That's a big confidence booster.

@nibble I did a reverse search on the image and it did a search on "fit image". It came up with my pic, pinterest link along with many more sculptures https://www.pinterest.com/ronmueck/sculpture-v2/?lp=true . Changed search to "fit image sculpture and this clean female version came up https://www.pinterest.com/pin/550002173217529455/?lp=true I'm pretty sure I came across it on Pinterest while in one of my many rabbit hole searches. Did not do anymore searching on history or who made the original though. Hope this helps.

Havn't heard that about gout. I did mention it to my NUT the last time I was there and she didn't say anything negative about how much I was getting. I hope it's not too much? I honestly don't know where I found the Avatar, well can't remember anyway. I'll try and figure it out and let you know.

Wife and I went to see Slender Man when it came out a while back (1st movie in years in the theater). I wasn't consuming much then so just had my water bottle with me and drank from that throughout the movie. Not sure what I'd snack on now that I'm eating real food again. Definitely not anything from the snack counter, would have to think something up and bring it along.

You need to add that one to the "Quotes and Inspiration" thread. LOVE IT!!!!

Feeling very tired, thought it was get better

I had my surgery about a month and a half after you, I can barely get a 3oz portion of protein down in one sitting. Not sure if the amount of time makes that much of a difference but maybe your trying to eat to much in a meal and overall not getting enough? Are you reaching/exceeding your goals for both protein and water daily? I usually eat 2oz of protein and a veg per meal. That way I'm getting in some type of carbs and fiber in my diet. If I eat more than 2oz there is no way I'm getting anything else in. I'm also still relying on my shakes to meet goal for protein. Water is no problem, I carry around a 24oz container of water that I continuously drink from and refill when empty. Hope you figure it out soon. Best of luck and keep us posted.
