Your doing great man. Keep inspiring us!!!

I looked at back of a bottle after I posted the question and was surprised at the numbers. Carbs=16g, Calories=60 and sugar=16g. I had no idea, thought it was natural so it would be ok for you. WOW.

Congrats on getting your date. Sucks you had to deal with this BS though. I have a very long fuse but this would have put me over the top. I would have for sure complained to her first then to her higher up even if it's the surgeon. Like you said if she can't handle the workload they need to get someone else to help. Or just get someone more competent. Good luck with your surgery, hope all goes smooth from here out.

Is honey bad to use? I hardly ever have anything with sugar in it especially now that I quit drinking coffee. I'm not a big dessert person either. I guess as I've aged I've lost my sweet tooth. Only thing I ever enjoyed ALOT pre surgery was tropical skittles. Anyway, Honey. Is it bad to use as a sweetener?

Protein2o coconut and one of the berry flavors. Taste really good. I don't drink the premixed protein drinks. Use powder and mix with water. Knocks down the fake sweet perfectly but still just a bit creamy.

@JConforti Thanks for posting and BIG CONGRATS to you sir. My starting weight is quite a bit more than yours but height and goal weight are pretty spot on. I love seeing posts like this. Such an inspiration and does wonders for my motivation. Almost a year apart from our surgeries as well. Just great to see.

YouTube channel Duc V. Vuong a.k.a. Dr. V. Have any of you watched any of his videos? I'm sure some or alot have. I had seen a video a few months back but wasn't as informed as I am now. I watched a few more today and agree with some of the things he teaches but other things are completely off from what I have been taught and what I've learned here about WLS dieting. One in particular that I watched today is labeled "The Dr. V Diet" . If you can, check it out and let me know what you think. It's over 30 minutes but he is very entertaining, so it goes by quick. Do any of you follow his practices or similar ones and how are they working out for you?

I guess those seeds are small enough that they won't bother? Guess it's the same thing as some being able to eat mushy foods right out of surgery and others (me included) having to wait until week 3 post to start. You can find plenty of Ricotta Bake recipes on Pinterest along with tons or other post bariatric recipes. Just type it in search and it will pull up plenty. You'll spend hours there though so be careful.

Be careful with seeds that may be in salsa from the tomatoes. I just read a few days ago that they can get stuck in your staples and cause an infection.

I simmered chicken in bone broth with carrots, onions and seasonings. Shredded the chicken and blended the liquid and veg. It made a whole bunch and I've hardly eaten any of it. Also made SF Jello pudding and added protein powder. FF refried beans taste better than you'd think. Eggs work also.

Gastric Sleeve Four months POST OP update

Killing it, Good on you!! Keep up the good work. -
My wife is thin. She gained from the kids but got back into shape about 5 years after our last, he's 15 now. Plus she found out about 2 years ago that she has hyperthyroidism. So now she's even thinner. She eats really healthy so doubt she will gain any extra pounds. We looked like a 10 when we stood next to each other.

I had FF refried beans yesterday with sriracha and I can't believe how flavorful it was. Thought it would be bland as... but even without the hot sauce it was really good. Had about a teaspoon and I was done. Covered and put in fridge, had a bit more later in the day and I guess from sitting with the sauce it was even better. I have a head of cauliflower that I want to try some things with, rice, pizza crust/bread, cheese grill and maybe a casserole recipe I found. Alot for one head but as much as i'm eating I'm sure it'll be fine.

How are you getting on at this stage? I get that full feeling after 3-4 bites of anything and if I eat more it's quite uncomfortable. Hoping it goes away soon.

That's great!!! CONGRATS!!!!

Congrats!!! Here's to a speedy recovery!!!

I was told no working out until 6 weeks out. No more than 10lbs (lifting) and nothing more strenuous than walking. Be careful with your lifting weights.

Food Before and After Photos
J San replied to GreenTealael's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
19 days out, on mushy foods and I'm right there with you though. I look at all this food and can't wait. Crap thing is I'm having such a hard time eating even mushy food I can't imagine how hard it's going to be with regular food. I start pureed foods on Thursday but can't imagine it's going to be any different than now. I get full in like 2-3 bites and if I eat any more I feel like ****. Hope it gets easier soon. -
When I was allowed full liquids I had plain SF yogart and watered it down with flavored protein water. I use Protein2o. I also would simmer bone broth, add whatever spices I liked and put in carrots and onions. When the carrots were soft I blended them and the onions and added the liquid. Add protein to it and it counts towards your daily total.

Started mushy early.. anyone else?? And how did it go?
J San replied to samie0810's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Agree!! Be careful what you eat and don't over do it. I know there are programs that have patients starting mushy foods almost right away but take it slow. I'm half way through mushy foods now at 19 days out and it stresses no lumps. Good luck, hope it works out great for you. -

How are you getting 40 grams of carbs?
J San replied to QueenEB's topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
I second that. This is the first I've heard of consuming any amount of carbs as in a specific number. Maybe the further along I get my NUT will mention it. Is it a part maintenance? -
Sorry about the request. I don't use the app, have it but always in front of my laptop so.... Didn't know you couldn't add that info from it.
