Water is always ice cold when I fill my bottle. Hasn't bothered me drinking it. The bottle is 32oz so of course sitting out for a while it gets to room temp. Either way is fine with my stomach.

Sucks your in a rut. We all know it's not easy but being here on this site should be your time to gain support and guidance. If you need help reach out man, send me a PM and I'll do what I can to help. I'm by far perfect at this **** but the motivation I get from this place helps me so much. It's not only the "I've done it" posts it's the "why did I do this" or "I can't do this anymore" posts as well. Try to keep things in perspective, all points of view. I try to learn from EVERYTHING I read here, other articles I read and videos I watch. I don't think I've read the posts @sillykitty mentioned so I can't comment on those but like I said man, post those question, concerns ask for guidance where you need it. -

Not that I'm at the stage where I can eat these anyway, well I guess I could suck on them and have my spit turn them to mush = mushy foods??? Anyway, right now I've been able to get up to 500ish calories a day. So that would be 440 out of 500 calories and a whopping 10g or protein to go towards my 85g daily intake suggested by my program. Even if your on a 1200calorie diet, that's more than a third of your intake for the day. I never ate the individual packets. It was always a box and probably at least half of it in one sitting. Just a normal thing in my everyday life with every type of food. No limit and what did it matter if I was full. I never thought like this before but it is a trip realizing all the stupid things I have to learn not to do again. What crazy world we've come to live in..... -

I know I posted earlier but it was more a HAHA comment. Not trying to be an ass or the food police but it sure as **** sounds like a lot of EXCUSES to justify eating this garbage. These things have been a favorite of mine since I was a kid but why go through everything we have and will go through just to give in and possibly put us on a path to lose? You justify this then what's next? I'm tired of making BS excuses for my choices or why if I only have a little it will kill my craving and get me past this moment. 379lbs later and a hell of a lot of bodily pain and thankfully my eyes were opened. I won't say I will not cheat or give into temptation but I will try my hardest not to. Just my opinion and I really hope to not piss anyone off or offend anyone. Good luck everyone, I really hope we all succeed on our journeys!!!!! -
Four weeks post op after sleeve- what are you eating?
J San replied to Letsgetgoing2018's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Sounds like a plan and have heard it plenty of times here from the more experienced WLSrs but my issue is How do you up your calories when the smallest amount fills you up and it takes so long for that fullness to go away? Hmmm, regardless I'll b trying to get more in today. Just have to figure out what and make sure it's not empty calories. -
Summer 2018 Surgery Buddies: POST-OP Discussion

I've tried finding it online to add a picture but it doesn't come up. The brand is Campbell's Homestyle Healthy Request Soup - Santa Fe Style. Similar to this one I found that they sell at WalMart but there was no meat in the one I had, https://www.walmart.com/ip/Campbell-s-Homestyle-Healthy-Request-Mexican-Style-Chicken-Tortilla-Soup-18-6-oz/10308005 I even searched the store I got it from (ShopRite) here in NJ and it didn't come up with any of the different types?????? I'll put it on the shopping list this week and hopefully find it in the store when we go Saturday. I'm wondering if I missed part of the name. I tried scanning into MY Fitness Pal and it was not in the data base so I had to add the nutritional information manually. BTW it may not have been tortilla but it was still a wonderful upgrade after all that bland broth. ..........Still can't find it online but what I put down in the nutritional information which came off the back of the can is Brand: Cambell's Description: Santa Fe Vegetable Soup -
Summer 2018 Surgery Buddies: POST-OP Discussion

The only soup I had was tortilla soup and I blended it. I only took what liquid I would eat a small amount of the solid ingredients and I added water. If it was watered down too much I would add onion and garlic powder for xtra flavor. Pretty watery end result, no thicker than the watery yogurt I was eating/drinking. Double check with your NUT to be sure though. I didn't ask but I had no issues either. -
A HUGE CONGRATS to you!!!! You look wonderful and also sound very happy. I love reading stories like yours, a huge inspiration and make me feel great about deciding to take on this challenge/journey. Four weeks post op after sleeve- what are you eating?
J San replied to Letsgetgoing2018's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I'm in the same boat as you two. I'll be 4 weeks on Thursday and have hit a stall for the last few days. I was down 1lb this morning but doesn't compare to the first 2 weeks. It also happened when I started food. I can't wait for the loss to kick in again. I feel like I'm actually eating less but because of the higher calories of the food my caloric intake is higher. As far as meats I've only eaten chicken, will try steak soon. Only vegie I've tried is avacodo. I'm discouraged to eat vegies right now because i'm so full from the small amounts of food i've been eating. -
My bypass is today - can’t wait

Noob looking for guidance before my first surgeon meeting
J San replied to Jobber's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My highest weight prior to going to my first meeting with my surgeon was 379lbs. I actually went in to schedule to have an umbilical hernia repaired but he said at my weight it would more than likely tear again or others would more than likely pop up. That lead to a discussion about WLS along with some other info. I had been disgusted with my weight and how I felt for some time so I talked it over with the boss (wife) and decided to go for it. I did have the same mindset you did about eating everything and anything before I couldn't any more but for some reason I couldn't bring myself to. I did eat some of those meals in the first month but as time went on and I learned more I wound up cutting back the no no foods. The day of surgery I weighed in at 342lbs. That was in a span of 3.5 months. I convinced myself that I wanted to succeed and did my best to cut out the crap I was eating. It's wasn't easy pre op and mentally is still hard today but It has gotten better. All the people that have responded have been through it and succeeded and so can you. As hard as it gets you have everyone here to support you and help you through. Good luck on your journey!!! You can do it!!!!! -
Body Fortress at WalMart. Whey protein 30g of protein, 8g of carbs and very affordable. $17.00 for 2lb tub. Isolate protein 30g of protein, 2g of carbs, $19.00 for 2lb tub. I mixed it with almond milk for pre op diet and now I mix with water post op. I've also added to pudding mix and yogurt. Tastes really good. So far have tried Vanilla and PB and Chocolate. Yet to try Strawberry, Chocolate and Cookies & Cream.

Summer 2018 Surgery Buddies: POST-OP Discussion
J San replied to Ylime's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
When I was on phase 2 full liquids I was allowed soups. My wife picked up a tortilla soup that was soooo good. I didn't have to strain it just had to blend so I would add a scoop of unflavored protein powder blend it and go to town. It lasted me 4 days and was my favorite meal of the day. I was also allowed yogurt so I would take a table spoon of greek yogurt and blend it with Protein2O and sometimes a scoop of vanilla protein powder. Really good, the tart from the yogurt was knocked down a bit from the sweet of the protein water and the sweet of the protein water was knocked down a bit from the tart of the yogurt. -
An inspiration indeed. Congrats on your outstanding progress. I hope I can be so successful. Thank you for posting!!!

Summer 2018 Surgery Buddies: POST-OP Discussion
J San replied to Ylime's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My program says the same about canned or cooked fruits but oddly enough banana is on my list of approved foods and is also on the example meal list (1/4 medium banana). Way to contradict your own program. I have used 1/4 banana twice in my protein shakes but I don't find it worth it. The sugars and carbs that it adds when I'm almost struggling to get my protein in because my belly is so full all day due to soft foods and the low amount of protein I get from them because of the small amount I can eat. -
The commercials on TV are the worst. Pizza and sub sandwiches are my biggest craving. Same on pinterest. I go there looking for recipe's and everything looks amazing. Also on soft foods but am allowed steak or chicken cut to the size of peas. Problem is I can only manage a few bites of ANYTHING so physically satisfied but mentally I want it to be so much more. I know it will take time to get my head right and I have done with certain things but not there 100% just yet. It is definitely an experience to remember.

Thursday will be 4 weeks out but the 12th is a month, if that makes sense. I was 342lbs on day of surgery and am now 314lbs. Seem to be on a bit of a stall on this 3rd week but hoping it will pass soon.

How long did someone help you at home after surgery?
J San replied to MK686's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Same as what most have said. My wife was around but I did for myself fine. If I needed she would have taken care of it but I was fine getting about and taking care of myself. I know for sure her being around helped me, knowing she would be there if I needed assistance with anything. But fortunately I didn't. Best of luck to you when your surgery comes about. -
I get dizzy sometimes when I stand up, stretch/yawn while standing up or when I'm bent over and straighten up. I have to stand still for a few seconds otherwise I think I'll be on my ass. I've been wondering about my BP meds, I take two different kinds due to the one not lowering my BP enough. I will be checking it today and tracking it for a few days and calling my PCP if I find it is too low. Thank you @Wisha for this post and thank you to all that responded.

Damn 90+ in three months. That's great!!!! If I can be close to that it would be great. I'm almost 30lbs down (3lbs shy) in almost a month but seem to be on a stall at the moment.
