  1. No worries. Go to the top of the page and just above the beginning of this thread you will see "weight loss surgery forums". Just click that and it will pull up all of the different sections. Or click this link .....https://www.bariatricpal.com/forum/988-weight-loss-surgery-forums/
  2. Congrats on getting through that. I guess those of us that complained about having to go through the testing should read you experience and appreciate that it was done. Best of luck to you on your continued journey!!!!!!

    6 days Post-op

Congrats on your surgery @Luisajfc !!! Hope your aches and pains settle quickly. Never had fits of coughing after surgery but the single coughs or sneezes were an "experience". Good luck on your journey!!!!
  4. I'm 1 month post op but wanted to drop in and say Congrats on getting approved and on getting your date. Let the excitement outweigh the fear. There is nothing really to worry about. If there are any negatives, you will overcome them. Hope you find your buddy or buddies. I'm sure there is an October surgery thread somewhere. Good luck with everything from here on!!!!
  5. You could introduce yourself in the General area and/or in the thread with they type of surgery you had but that may only target others with similar surgeries. Best of luck to you on your November surgery and a BIG Welcome to the site @PALOMABELLA
  6. Could be they did an endoscopy to check to see if all went well from the inside. Hope it goes away and you feel better soon. Good luck. Welcome to the site @LeiaStone

Oh how the tables have turned......

Congrats on your successful weight loss. Sounds like your bud can use some support. Be there for him like he was for you. That's what great friendships are all about right. Also maybe it can be a learning experience for both of you. Let him know how you felt pre op. Your in each others shoes so now you will both know what it feels .

    3 Days post op

Sorry your having a bad time but it will get better. Keep that water near you and take tiny sips every chance possible. It'll keep yourself of the ER because of dehydration especially if you have the runs. It's rough now but try to when whenever possible, even if it's in small amounts. Avoids blood clots. Resting is good for your healing. You'll feel better in no time and then you'll be complaining about constipation.......
  15. Only walking allowed for the 1st six weeks as well than I can get into working out. They want to make sure our bodies are healing properly so we have to take it easy for the time being.

    6 days after surgery

Congrats brother!!! Good for you on getting off your meds. It just gets better with time. Enjoy the journey and best of luck to.
  17. I was not told to track anything other than protein and water intake right now. There are sample meals and a list of approved food types to choose from. Almost everything is low fat and low sodium. As long as I stick within those parameters I don't worry about fats or carbs.
  18. I put spinach in with my powder mix protein drink. Looks weird but as long as you don't put to much you don't really taste it. I ground some with water and put it in with my scrambled eggs (green eggs and no ham, although at this stage I am allowed). I do not by any means have regular or normal BMs but I am not backed up. If I find that it's a bit too loose I just cut back some on the spinach. Not sure if this will work for anyone but seems to keep things in control for me. Good luck and hope all gets back to normal soon.
  19. Here are two links to Ricotta Bake recipes I have saved and a Youtube video. I have not tried these yet but plan on soon. Seem to be basically all the same.... Sure it's delicious though. Enjoy!!!! http://baileybariatrics.com/sites/default/files/Ricotta Bake.pdf http://www.geniuskitchen.com/recipe/shellys-baked-ricotta-324036
  20. I think I may order this as well. Can't beat the price. Great suggestion, thanks. Also thanks for the post!!!

    Broke my stall!!!

There you have it folks, No STALL for me. I am only in a crawl......
  22. Too bad for OSU patients. They were my savior on my pre op diet. I just had my first one yesterday. Wasn't sure when I could but hit my "for life" stage yesterday so figured why not. Just slice the seeds off so no worries there. You are on liquid so no harm in taking a tiny sip of the jar juice. If you don't mind drinking it. I didn't.
  23. I agree, call your surgeons office as soon as you can. Why would taking pain meds hurt? My not be anything but better safe than sorry. Good luck to you!!!

    Tattoo

This was my last piece of work I had done over 10 years ago when I wasn't so big bellied. Only got it started though. My artist who is a good friend of mine had a relapse (clean for 16 years) and wound up having a stroke. Outline, shading and just a touch of color. Sad thing is he did not have completed artwork because it was in his head and he wanted to get it done on me. He's not capable of finishing it and I have no idea what he intended for the finished product to look like. I know artists do not like finishing other artists work but maybe I'll look into it after I hit my goal? This is my Phoenix .
