Definitely a difference now. Sneakers fit normally and don't look like I stuffed my feet in them. Also had to adjust the strap on my slippers that have become my daily wear because my feet looked ridiculous in anything else. Also noticing loss in my calves and thighs.

Congrats on your success, way to go!!!

Track your intake if you don't already. I did not stall but I slowed down quite a bit at 3 weeks. I slowly increased my calorie intake and the weight loss started moving quicker. Like others have said the less you have to lose the slower it will take. As far as exercise I do minimal but the days I walk I notice a much larger loss the day after. I only walk right now and can't walk for long distances or long amounts of time due to back and hip issues so even if you do small amounts you still benefit. Good Luck, You'll be fine.

Terrified of puréed phase
J San replied to kaleeshab's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
There have been many suggestion on other posts to try different temperatures of the liquid. Some can tolerate only cold and some can only tolerate warm. The only issue I had when transitioning to puree was how fast it made me full. I ate very little of any pureed meal because of this but substituted with shakes. There are days for me as well where I don't meet my water and protein goals. I find it becomes a very long day just because I want to stay up to try and get those last few sips of water in. Most days I am under but still feel fine and still losing. Just do the best you can and GOOD LUCK TO YOU!!!! -
Congrats!!! You look great and what a beautiful smile.

Summer 2018 Surgery Buddies: POST-OP Discussion
J San replied to Ylime's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was told by my PA no capsules so had to change to a chewable. Also had to change my B-12 pill to a chewable . Both because of the amount of absorption loss. Once again shows how different our programs are from one to the next. -
Amazing how different the programs are, isn't it.......

What does a protein shake feel like after sleeve?
J San replied to jultrim18's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
You'll get full after a sip or two so just take your time with it. If you drink to fast or to much you will get that pain at the bottom of your rib cage. As the days go by it will get easier. -
Sleeved 7/12 turned 45 years young 7/21. Had the best birthday cake ever, it was a sip of a protein shake then I was to full for any more. I wish I did it when my back started hurting to the point it was affecting my work ethic. If so maybe I wouldn't be in as bad shape as I am now. The weight loss has reduced the amount pain in my lower back and allowed me to be more mobile but the pain still builds and before long I'm useless. I'm early on so the more I lose hopefully the better I get.

Fruit on the liver shrink diet
J San replied to Chrisb428's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The only fruit I was allowed on pre op diet was any type of melon. -
New to the Forums! Just Saying Hi!
J San replied to OpsMatt's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Havn't had any issues with my sleeve. Have been able to eat everything I have tried without any issues. I avoided barbecues this summer because of being on the pre op diet or being so early in post op. As far as loose skin I can see having it on my belly for sure. But who know maybe my amazingly youthful skin will pull back to it's younger tight self. -
How do your scars look now? There is a divot where the scabs once were on three of them and new scabs have formed below the surface of the skin. The biggest one is almost completely healed.

How do you get in enough fluids and Protein post op?
J San replied to kristy2671's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Tiny sips ( and I mean TINY ) was key for me early on. Also the amount I consumed at one time sometimes bothered me if it was too much. Protein2O was great and still is now. I never used premixed protein shakes, couldn't get past the sweetness or the aftertaste. I use powders and make my own shakes. I can add things like bananas, spinach or just plain ice and I can regulate how thick or thin I want it by adding more or less water. I use a blender or a bullet to grind whatever I've added and because some of the powders do not dissolve easily. -
Congrats on a successful surgery. Glad all went well this time around. I had no issues with drinking, sorry I can't help you there. As far as sleeping, I slept in my recliner for the first week or so than I rigged an old sofa cushion to be able to sleep in bed. I cut the cushion on a diagonal and put my pillows on top of it so that I would be on an incline while sleeping on my back. I also put one of the back cushions from the sofa under my knees. This helps with my back pain and allows me to sleep more sound.

When was your first plateau?
J San replied to PopsFury's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I havn't hit a stall but weight loss came to a crawl. I actually have been upping my calorie intake slowly and the weight loss has slightly picked up. Hopefully at the higher caloric intake it will continue at the rate it did immediately post surgery or close to it at least. -
Same here as most, Was told no go on patches and also on gummies. But everyone's program is different. Your best bet is to check with you surgeon or NUT.

Congrats on your date. Best of luck to you on your surgery.

Summer 2018 Surgery Buddies: POST-OP Discussion
J San replied to Ylime's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I tried tomatoes at stage 4, for me it is the "for life" stage. This was also week 4 post op for me. The program said to try new foods and I assumed that meant all foods. I just removed the seeds and sliced it thin. Other than not having much due to being full I had no problem with them. Also had pickles minus the seeds. I had an appointment with my NUT the following week and she was surprised I had them so soon and had no problems with the skins. She then said I was clear to try whatever I wanted. -
Welcome to the site and congrats on your surgery. Hope it all went well and you are feeling ok!!! Good luck to you as well @Chrisb428 !!!

Been wondering the same. Been waiting to grab another packet of flavorless protein powder but not sure if it will ruin whatever I try to make. Protein Treats on youtube makes a powder that she says is the only one made for baking (might have been an old video I saw) but she seams to much like an infomercial actress. Makes me wonder if it is legit or she's FOS?

Egg for me as well. Done after 3 bites though, couldn't believe it filled me like it did. Was not happy after because I guess 2 bites would have been sufficient and I wound up having that stupid pain in my chest. Oh well, live and learn.

Best Smart Scale (prefer body composition measurements also)
J San replied to TansMakingItHappen's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Just got my Renpho scale delivered earlier today. Put it on charge so still haven't used it yet. DL'd the app but have to wait to turn it on to connect the two.
