Again, Congrats on your success. Curious what your stats are? I'm 6 weeks post op and it's really great to see the success stories.

Welcome to the forum.

Great job man, Congrats on your success!!!

I've been wanting a bite of a thick ass sub sandwich forever. Just one bite and I'll be good (I think). Wife brought home pizza the other day for her and the boys. I grabbed a slice had a tiny bite of the tip and a bite of crust. I had some of the mozz cheese on top and licked the sauce. I was so stuffed from the dough I think. Dog was my best friend because I shared it with her.

You'll be fine. If you don't digest it by the time of surgery they'll just see it in your belly. I've heard stories about surgeons finding all kinds of last meals in there. Congrats on your weight loss so far and best of luck to you tomorrow!!!

To the rescue.... Doesn't GNC sell them individually? I thought they did.

Mixed berry and coconut at my local. Have seen two other flavors online, grape and lemonade I think. Not sure if there are other flavors besides those

You'll be fine, don't let the anxiety take control of you. There really is no need for it. I was as you say "eerily" calm all the way through the entire procedure. I had thoughts about the concerns but I look at things as " If it happens it was meant to" and I don't dwell on them. Anyway A HUGE Congrats to you for approval from insurance and getting your date.

You look great!!! Congrats to you!!!!!!

I get my Protein2O from WalMart and like it alot. You can also get it on Amazon but I think it's more expensive. I havn't tried any other but this one I like just fine.

Welcome to the forum. Congrats on making the choice to get the sleeve. I'm trying to talk my brother into doing the same as you. He had the band and it didn't work for long. Best of luck to you but I'm sure you'll do great. -
I was able to keep things down but in very low, low amounts. A lot of deep breaths to keep it under control. It's from the anesthesia and will last around 24 hours.

Summer 2018 Surgery Buddies: POST-OP Discussion
J San replied to Ylime's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was 342lbs the day of surgery 7/12. The next time I weighed myself 7/14 I was 345lbs, not sure if that was my highest post surgery or had already started losing. The next time I weighed myself 7/17 I was down to 336lbs. Like @ALFxRNY it's hard to compare, everyone is different. Just know it will come off. Just remember to stick to your program. -
I use powder form and make my own. Allows to make it as thick or thin as I want and usually add things like spinach or banana etc.
-
Would you happen to links to the video or other resources you learned about this from? I'd like to learn more about it. Thanks.
-
Glad you didn't throw it all up. I've been there and it sucks for real. I know what it feels like when I'm about to top off but sometimes still go for that extra bite and wind up regretting it.

THIS!!!!! and my plan had me do LOW-FAT, FAT-FREE and SUGAR FREE this early on. Search pinterest for ideas, type puree phase bariatric diet or just bariatreic diet. You'll find tons of suggestions. Last thing, maybe try using powder protein and make your own shakes. You can regulate how thick or thin they are and you can add things like fresh or frozen spinach for fiber and extra vitamins. GOOD LUCK!!!!

Summer 2018 Surgery Buddies: POST-OP Discussion
J San replied to Ylime's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yep fluids and swelling. Don't be discouraged. It'll drop off soon and FAST. You may also have gains later on, which is normal. Don't let those gains discourage you either. It's all part of the process. -
That seams like a doable goal as long as you stick to your plan. Don't cheat at all and you should get there no problem.

Great topic. I usually cook a butterflied chicken breast early in the week which will be good for 4 to 5 meals. I will slice a banana (or a bunch) put it in a sandwich bag and throw it in the freezer. Ready to add to my protein shake both as flavor and "ice". Don't have any other hacks but hope to pick up some from this thread.

That's awesome. Congrat's to you, you look great!!!!

@Sosewsue61 what a great answer. I just figured it was because of metabolism and the body healing. Hadn't given any thought to the other things you mentioned. Thanks for the info.

I agree maybe gas trapped while you were in different positions sleeping. Try stretching slowly while walking to see if it moves or goes away. Hope it does not last long. Also a huge HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you sir!!!!! Mine was nine days post surgery.

Maybe swelling/fat didn't go down in my feet as much as I thought. Went for a walk and threw on a pair of trainers without socks. Had a pair in my bag but forgot and didn't throw them on. By the end of the walk I could feel my pinkie toe on both feet getting rubbed raw. Finished my walk, took off trainers and left toe was red and raw. Same for right toe except I had an added piece of dangling skin. Oh what a great feeling.
