    Starting out

Cut back on carbs as much as possible. If you can cut them out entirely. Eat a lot of protein. At this point you don't have to limit yourself like after surgery so don't worry about consuming a lot of it (protein). It's supposed to keep you full for longer so that will help. Eat veggies and some fruit. I say some fruit because you want to keep your sugar intake at a lower level as well. When you meet with your NUT they'll give you guidelines for the program you'll be on. Good luck to you and enjoy the journey.
  3. I would love to scuba again. It's been at least 10-11 years since I last went. Another thing that is really general is just going places with the family. I have avoided every family event, party, family trip etc for years now because I don't feel comfortable with the way I look and feel. So many more things...
  4. Keep doing what your doing but completely cut out carbs. You can do it for 15 days, it might be tough but think of the reason and stay strong. Use sugar free icepops and sugar free jello to curb your appetite if you get really hungry and LOTS of water. If you need help or encouragement just ask here and you'll get it for sure. Good luck you got this!!

    40 something sleevers?

Glad you were able to get it done. Congrats and best of luck on your journey!!!
  7. I didn't have one. Didn't even hear about one until reading posts here of those that have had them in? No catheter either. Why for either of them?
  8. Pretty sure it's been four months not one. Not that it's not a great accomplishment. I do agree with all you said except.... What is the proper definition of a stall? Is it how the individual interprets it? Or is there a WLS proper definition? I once said I had stalled for a few days and I felt like I got my ass chewed off by another member saying a few days wasn't a stall, it's a week or more. Made me feel like an idiot for even posting my 2 scents.

    Feeling Defeated

Don't be discouraged. You've lost, be proud of that. You know the answers to what you have to do to get it done. Just try to focus more and be more disciplined. If you need support you know you have everyone here to help you out. Try finding replacements for the carbs you enjoy eating. I just made a small batch of cauliflower tots and they came out really good. Both my teenage sons tried them and I got thumbs up from both. I just told they were tots and they had no idea it was made from cauliflower. Stay positive, you know you got this!!!
  10. What @Matt Z said!! This guy knows his $hit and if something he says applies to me I take it as excellent advice. Good luck to you. Question for you @Matt Z . Is the BMR that these scales give via app pretty close to accurate? For that matter is all the data given pretty close? Or close enough to go by?

    Anyone eat omelets?

Same, Have had omelette with cheese with no issues. Have also had fried, hard boiled and poached. All of them I was fine with. Good luck and Enjoy!!!
  12. My phase II was full liquid. I drank protein shakes mostly but also made yogurt drinks (watered down greek yogurt and a scoop of protein powder). Also all clear liquids from previous phase. Mushy or pureed foods was phase III.

    Initial Paperwork

What would be a "wrong" reason for wanting to loose weight? I doubt there will be any issues with your surgery team at all. It is how they make a living after all.

  15. Don't worry about the weight right now. Worry about getting yourself in a good place health wise. Really sorry you went through what you did. Glad your feeling somewhat better and hope it only gets more better'r. Sip those liquids as much and often as you can. Good luck to you.

    Here I grow Again

Man, what a rough ride. Like @Matt Z mentioned you seem to know what to do. Best of luck to you on getting to where you want to be. Stay strong, it seems like you have a strong mind set so I don't doubt anything but success for you.

    Nutrition help

I can't hit my protein goal without shakes and protein waters. I get full on very small amounts of foods for my protein so can't get in much that way. I found messing with the settings for MFP much easier using my laptop. You can login on a pc and to me it's a whole lot easier to navigate. Good Luck to you!!!
  19. I've used Pinterest. A huge amount of Bariatric diet sites post there and you'll find yourself still looking through all of them hours later. Congrats on your success!!!

    solid foods in phase 3

I stuck to my plan. I didn't want to take the chance of hurting my stomach or damaging the staples. Tolerating the food is one thing but what's going on where you can't see it is another. Be careful
