    Depression and anxiety

Definitely check with your doctor. I can't be off my meds for more than a few days without feeling really down. I was also able to swallow my pills the day after surgery.

Wow!!! You look amazing! I hope to see those kind of results at 6 months!

    Some questions regarding GERD...

I'm only 3 months out. I've been taking Prevacid for years now for GERD. So far, it hasn't gotten any worse with the surgery. I only take one 15mg pill in the morning and I'm good for the day.

Anybody having regrets? Need a pep talk

Someone told me this right after I had my surgery, and I'm glad they did: "the first month is the worst". It's so true. Just hang in there, and it will get better!

    Experimenting before dr Allows😳

Not that early on, no. I stuck to the liquid and pureed phases as the doctor suggested. I'm still not eating some things, because it may be too much for me.

    Diarrhea post op

I had diarrhea starting on day 2, I believe and it lasted 2 or 3 days. I'm not sure what caused it, but it didn't last too long. Hopefully yours doesn't either.

    Non Scale Victories

I love going to the theatre, but I haven't been going much because I couldn't fit in the seats. Well, I decided to try it last Friday, and I fit just fine and I was comfy! So happy that I can go see more shows!

    No energy!

My iron and vitamin d were really low after my surgery. I had to up the doses of both. I don't have a ton of energy now, but it's better than it was.

Week 7 stall after gastric sleeve

Reiterating a bit of what Matt said: Be sure you're getting your protein, water, vitamins, etc. Be sure to track what you're eating, both good and bad, so you know where you are at.
  10. My first meal after liquids was fat free refried beans. I also ate quite a bit of low fat cottage cheese in that phase.

Are you happy with your sleeve

I'm not quite 3 months out yet, but yes, I'm very happy so far!

    Vitamins

I swallow capsules for my multi, but I use Bariatric Advantage chewable calcium, and it's really good; they have a lot of different flavors. So far, my favorites have been the peanut butter/chocolate and the chocolate.

Ideas for post op full liquid diet

I would keep looking for protein that works for you. They sell flavorless protein. You need protein. You're not getting much at all with what you're eating. When I was in my liquid phase, I basically drank 2 protein shakes a day and had sugar free popsicles and sugar free jello. That's about it. I was full off of the water and protein shakes.

Best Chewable vitamins to fight hair loss

Biotin is what my NP recommended for me; I don't know that it comes in chewable form, but it does come in a sublingual form. Also, be sure to take your bariatric mulitvitamin. I'm sure that helps too.

Perspectives on Losing Fast & Slow

I'm not quite 3 months post op, and I've lost 52 pounds since my surgery (58 before surgery). I'm one that started with A LOT to lose, and I'm not really losing as fast as I thought I would. I'm definitely not complaining though. I've noticed a big change in my clothes. I can still wear the same clothes that I started at, but they're huge! I'm starting to go out and do things that I used to not be able to do. Yeah, I wish the weight would just fall off, but it's coming off at a decent pace.

    Depressed

It'll happen eventually! Just use this extra time to lose weight pre-op! I now wish that I would have stuck to my diet better pre-op cause I would have lost more!
  17. There is definitely hope! I am only 10 weeks post op, but I have a friend who had the surgery 6 years ago, and she looks better than ever! You just have to stick to the plan. She still gets full easily too.

    Any March 2018 Sleevers?

I see mine right after I see my NP at my surgeon's office. So, that was at 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, etc...

    Any March 2018 Sleevers?

    I was sleeved on 3/20. I'm down 103. 58 pre-op and 45 pre-op.

    Hiccups

I didn't get hiccups after eating, but I did them them after drinking at first. That lasted maybe 4-5 days or so. I don't know for sure, but I wouldn't think that would last forever. Are you on the liquid phase still, or have you switched to pureed foods? I would think it's happening because you're getting air into your stomach somehow; that's what mine was, anyways.

    Practicing for the sleeve?

You definitely have to learn to eat slower, which is something I'm still working on. I had no issues taking pills just days after my surgery.
  22. FancyChristine15

    The Numbers Are Adding Up

I'm just over 9 weeks out, and I'm down 45.2 pounds since surgery.

Recommendations for sugar free treats please

Sugar free popsicles are my go-to.
  24. FancyChristine15

    To tell coworkers or not?

I told all of my coworkers and everyone has been really supportive. It's up to you though.

    Fasting!

Best of luck to you! Glad you found a way to do it that's working for you where you can still get in your vitamins. Thank you for sharing.
