toodlerue replied to Kasrielle's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums

I have Slept with a Cpap for over 12 years. Put it on every night. It takes some getting use to, but I find that most people aren’t persistent & give up on it to easily & too soon.

Sleeve to bypass revision success stories
toodlerue replied to miss_smiles's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
I’m 6 weeks out from my RNY & just now starting to have hunger/fullness feelings. I think our bodies are just in shock from what we just put them through & they don’t know how to feel yet! -
I miss straws! I had back surgery 5 years ago & I got used to drinking from a cup with a lid & a straw. I have gas & bloating so bad I don’t want to add anymore air into my system. I also miss making protein shakes in my Nutribullett. Is seems to make the shake too airy & I get more bloated!

Did your doctor use staples or stitches to close you up & how many openings did he make? I have 7 openings including the one from the drain and he used staples! I’m not to happy about that! I have had 5 surgeries in my abdominal region & have never been closed with staples! Toodles, Rue

Let's hear some normal poop stories
toodlerue replied to modymatey's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
I’m constipated all the time! That’s my new normal. I’m only 6 weeks out so I’m not eating a variety of foods yet, I’m too scared to do that. I just keep taking stool softeners & Miralax which takes a couple of days to work. -
I’m getting a bypass despite the fact I have a sleeve done
toodlerue replied to Saddy's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
I too have an uncontrollable sweet tooth. I had a RNY a month ago. I constantly have to over come the temptation to not eat sugar! I have to to remind myself “Nothing tastes as good as being skinny feels!” It’s my new mantra. I’m just tired of being chubby. I can feel my body getting worse from extra weight. I want to feel better, I wanna get out and do things! I’m tired of sitting on the couch! I guess you have to get to that point yourself & decide what is important to you. Maybe your not ready to make that big of a change. -
Wow. How miserable you must be! I hope you get some answers soon !

I break my Norco pills in 1/2 with my fingers. They are oblong.

Once you get your insurance going see if they have a nurse or dietitian that you can talk to. We have Cigna & they have been so helpful especially the dietitian! -

May 2018 losers bench
toodlerue replied to Yo-yo girl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had my surgery May 16th. I lost 11 pounds at my 2 week appointment. I had a RNY to fix my Fundalupacation that had come undone, repair my hiatal hernia that was way worse then he thought. At the 2 week appointment he told me that he didn’t use as much intestine as a regular RNY and my stomach is bigger that a true RNY! Now I’m mad! I go through all of this and I might not loose as much weight! But I’m still determined to get to my goal weigh! -
I called It my “farewell to food tour”. There are some that I didn’t get to say goodbye to but that’s life.

If you are 3 weeks out your body is still traumatized from the surgery. Maybe you’re doing too much. Please see a threrapist. Besides working on your body you need to work on your head too. Taking antidepressants doesn’t make your problems go away, they just help you deal with them better. Toodles, Rue
