Well I would rather give you why I personally chose RnY as opposed to the sleeve. For one, I wanted the most restrictive procedure possible. RnY gives you a smaller pouch than the sleeve. This part will sound insane, but I also wanted the “dumping” reaction. I just believe that it will more than keep me on the right track if experiencing dumping is possible for eating the wrong thing. RnY has also been around for decades. For someone like me who has never had a major surgery, I wanted to go with the “golden seal”. And lastly, I had “fire” GERD when I was pregnant. I didn’t even want that as a remote possibility. Do your research and really see which is best for you. The website is organized well so you can figure it all out. Both procedures Are great options for weight loss. Best of luck!

Agree with everything you said. I bought my daughter a muscle milk as a meal replacement. She’s a figure skater and needs to be on the ice at 6:30am on Saturday mornings. Since we have little time for breakfast, I thought this was a good option. She hated it. She forgot about it and left it in her skate bag overnight. The next morning we go to get it out of her bag to pour it down the drain, it had become the consistency of oatmeal!!! Couldn’t even get it out of the container. Thank goodness I didn’t buy a case of them for the liquid diet! I also am not a fan of the chocolate Premier Protein shake, but the vanilla and caramel are really good. “I know that I’m in my own little world—but it’s ok, they like me here.”

Oh noooooo, not decaf ! Before I started the liquid diet I found that some people in the forums use the Premier Protein shakes as a creamer! It is really good!! So I do have something to look forward to when I allow mysefl to have coffee again. I've used Stevia for quite some time so I already accosted to it, but I do miss my coffee. I might have to test some decaf to find a decent one when the time comes.

Meeeeeee! I’m May 25th. Congrats to us! I went to Costco yesterday and loaded up on protein shakes, Miralx and vitamins. Starting my liquid diet tomorrow. And yes I got a case of the nerves as well. We’ll get through it though.

Welcome! I'm new as well and it looks like our journeys will coincide as I started my weight loss program at around the same time. I find out my surgery date on May 8th so I might very well have a surgery date close to yours! I have the exact same feelings as you are having right now. This is a good place to be, a lot of folks going through the same thing. So let loose, we are here for it!

I agree. Stevia is natural, it's a little hard to get accustomed to the taste but once you find a brand that you like, you hardly notice it. Do not get Truvia. It is only partially Stevia, I believe the remainder are sugars.

I think the brother will be the most resistant, which might become a problem for the sisters.

This episode is going to be rough.
