    Food funerals

Everyone has such great advice and encouraging words, thanks y’all!... even tho I think my “food funerals” were just cravings due to shark week(I usually fight those urges much better than I did last week) your encouraging words and advice has really motivated me to get my act together before surgery next month 35days left[emoji51]

    Food funerals

The food commercials are THE worst... thankfully I don’t have cable so I don’t have that kind of temptation...

    Time off

Any fellow nurses(or any profession honestly) can help me out with this one... I currently work in home care, how long did you all take out of work? Ive had my gallbladder removed but due to other complications (pulmonary embolism) I was out of work for 1 month but honestly felt as though I could return to work the following week.... I know each individual is different but all input is greatly appreciated... TIA!
  6. Hey! I’m from Connecticut (hope that counts) lol... sleeve scheduled for 5/31... anyone here on instagram?

    Surgery in May?

I just got my call today!... scheduled may 31st... not sure if I’m more nervous or excited being that I’ve been waiting for this day since 2016!...
  13. So I started this process, I would say, summer of 2016. I didn’t attend a seminar until November of that same year, with my first initial appointment with my prospective surgeon being March of 2017. Since then I’ve hit many, MANY bumps in the road, the main one being my pcp’s reluctance to write a letter of recommendation. Thankfully I’ve been able to over come every obstacle placed before me to get to where I am now! My paperwork (including letter of recommendation) was submitted to my insurance for approval 4/2/18. I have Connecticut Medicaid/Medicare also known as Husky A. I was wondering how long did it take for an approval? For those with the same insurance as mine.
