Hi guys I have a question for you?? I have lost 85 lbs of the 100lbs that I had to loose wich I'm so happy about it. But this last 15 lbs they don't want to come of. Ricght now I have a fill of 2.5cc in a 4 band. So I have a little bit of restriction. I've been trying to loose them for the past 2 month. I been going to the gym 4 to 5o times a week. People tell me I look like I have lost more weight wich I think it's just inches. But Should I go get a tiny fill. I'm devating this because I have to pay out of pockets. Or should I just wait another month and see what happens?? Thanks for your comments. Melissa

Well right now I'm at 2.9 I been banded for 7 months. I got an unfill about a month ago because the doc put me to 3.3 was he crazy I couldn't even keep my own saliva down. so he unfill me completely felt relief real soon. And about 2 weeks ago he put me at 2.9 so I'm still feel kind of tight I feel the restriction cause right now I'm eating hardly any solid food. I'm eating more liquids and smuchies so I think i'm going to get another little unfill. I want to loose another 20 lbs to be at my goal.

Well It's really hard for me to eat apples, I have tried with or without skin. even apple sause keeps coming back up. I can't eat bread either even the wraps anything dough pasta will go down if i sit there and eat one spaghetti at a time. Oh and I just had mango the other day never again, it got stuck for about 6 hours and I was at work it wasn't a good feeling everybody tought I was having a heart attack with the faces that I was making but when it went down I tought I was in heaven. Other than those three things I could eat other things.

hey guys I just got a little fill July 26 it's been a week and a half. So i did my diet after fill but actually I'm stuck on liquids. Well I'm stuck on trying to drink my liquids. I try to drink a slim fast it goes down fine, but then I'm burping and hicups for 3 hours. So I went back to just clear liquids just to see if I was swollen or something. The same thing just chicken broth. I havent' been able to sleep. Because when I lay down everything keeps coming back up, it doesn't matter what it is clear liquid or ful liquid. So I havent had nothing to eat in a week and 3 days. Also I haven't lost no weight because i'm not drinking my water Because when i think I'm ready to drink some water, everything sits there. And I'm head to the bathroom. So do you think I should call my doctor and get a unfill, or is it too early to tell. I been doing great so far. But I'm starving, cranky, and clueless to what I'm supposed to do. Thanks for your responses. Mel

I have a question for you guys I don't know if it has happened but I'm just afraid. I just had a fill 2 weeks ago and i haven't been able to eat nothing, I'm going to get an unfill on wed I been with the hicups throwing up and with heart burn. Even with my own saliva I can't take it. But i been throwing up so much that where my band is it's starting to hurt. It's that just the muscle or do you think it's something more. I'm so afraid. I had the same exact problem about 2 months ago. Hair all over I even went and burned my vacuum(lol). So much hair everywhere. I went to my doctors and he told me it happens and try to eat more protein. But guess what that didn't help I have doing 80 to 90 grams of protein. Went to the hair supply store spend $60 on something that didn't help. And for the past 2 weeks all a sudden it stopped. Like the little hair fairy didn't want my hair anymore. Now I see my hair back growing and it's a wonderful thing. I don't know this band takes your whole body and does whatever want's to it. I hope it will stop for you too. I was always the fat girl with the pretty face and long black hair. Now it's in a punny tail and it's not going to change until it grows back. And Its been doing pretty good. So be patience it's a stage.

my doctor has me on 1200 cal a day. It's so har to get in 1200. I try to do is 300 breakfast 100snack. 200 lunch. 100 snack. 200 dinner and then the rest I have it on my protein shake. its been working out for me cause I need 70g of protein and 30g of fat a day. Also Im eating every 3 to 4 hours.

For years I always said that I wanted to go to Greece. So when I started with this I said to myself that I would go when I reach 100lbs lost. I'm already 1/2 way there I reach 50lbs this past week. So I'm actually excited maybe by next year I would be in one of the greek beaches with a greek man right next to me. Its kind of a little expensive idea but Well I got to treat myself somehow, working two jobs got to the gym 5 times a week. I'm tired. So that's my little motivation.

I was banded 2/16 and didn't feel no restriction so I asked the same question that you are asking to my fellow bandsters here. They told me the same thing that they are telling you. Hang in there. So me I was desperate tought the same thing like you; Was this worth it?? Well girl let me tell you something I remember the day like it was yesterday. I got my first fill march 15. The doctor put 2.6 and he said he takes it easy on people for first fill. Yeah right!!. Didn't feel a thing until march 24th when i tried to eat a nice piece of peanut butter and jelly sandwich. OH MY GOD was it painfull like on my 4th bite. I tought I chew it really well. Then I call my friend she had the band for a while and she told me, Guess what that was a restriction honey. I felt it. I couldnt eat nomore I was full plus I over did it. So girl so take it easy you will know when you get a restriction. Because now I don't even touch bread I don't look at it, smell it nothing. Band for life. Also I felt it on my first fill wich some people do some people don't. So just be patience. Hope this helps you out.

Hey there. Well my doctor has me 1200 calories a day. 60g of protein and 30g of fat. It's hard for me to intake all that fat. But I been doing well so far I guess.

I'm 3 months after operation. And before I used to sleep on my stomach. Now I can't and I think I'm heeled pretty well but I get such a pain even if I try to sleep on my side. Can anybody tell me if this happens to them. If not how long did it take you to sleep on your stomach. Thanks. Mel

Hello is there anybody that can help me. I just had my first fill 3 weeks ago and at first I had restriction well for the first 2 weeks. And now this whole week I been eating normal like I never had a fill put in. I'm loosing weight about 2 lbs a week. Should I even call my doctor to get another fill. Or just keep going. How long should I wait in between fills. Right now the doctor put 2.6cc and I guess it's gone. Has this happened to anybody. PLease help. THank Mel

I'm 25 years old. I have amerihealth HMO. I had a BMI of 42. And my insurance didn't give me no problems. Actually when I called them the lady said to call her back to see how it went she was thinking about it. They approved even for fills for life. Anyways my doctor only charge 100 dollars for fills. But hey i don't have to put that out of my pocket now. I work at the casinos here in NJ, I don't know if you can get that insurance where you at. But you can go to Amerihealth.com. they only thing I had to pay was for my co-payments for my doctor. Have a nice day. Mel

I drink the Isopure Dutch Chocolate. Put it in a blender with 1% milk and some ice. I really like it even my 7 year old niece likes it. You can get it at GNC. Also for the clear liquid diet Isopure H2O all the flavors are kind of funny tasting for I put a little bit of sugar free Tang in it or Crystal light and its pretty good. I also make popsycles with it.

Was anybody surprise who is out?? I thought for sure that Kevin was going to out. And that Kinik what going to stay?? Any surprises for you guys??

I had my surgery 4 weeks ago, I haven't Had any fills yet. But for the past 3 days i been having nausea. Is this normal, or should I call my Dr. Doctor. Does this happen to alot of people?? Can somebody help me please. Thanks. Mel

I need advice! When you get a fill and you can't hardly take pills. Maybe some of you are in the same place, I get bad cramps in the time of the month. I usually take Pamprin or Aleve. Any suggestions on what I can take that is liquid or should I crush the pills??

I work in the accounting department (Banker) For Caesars Casino in Atlantic City. And part time cashier for Borgata Casino. Just to say I see alot of interesting people a day.

Well I had my band on 2/16 I still haven't had my fill which will be on the 24th of this month. My nutritionist have me 1200 calories a day. 60g of protein and 40g of fat. She told me it was fine if I don't make the calories between that as long I get my proteins and my fat in. to stay between 1000 to 1400 a day it was fine. And that's how it's also supposed to be after my fill. Mel

Girl, Yes. I think I was the only one. But I been wanting to eat chinese or just eat anything around that time. What I did for kind of the chocolate craving was drink my protein shake which is Isopure Chocolate flavor, I was drinking that thing like I was eating a piece of cake. And then I was ok. Also fat free chocolate pudding, I think it taste the same as regular. So I had that for snack. So that's how I kill my appetite for chocolate. Hope it helps for you. Mel

Ok I haven't had any fills just yet, but I keep reading here about people that got to much in their fills, and then next week They take some of the fill out. Does this happens to everybody, is it like an experiment of your doctor to see how much can you take, or if you need some out. So my question is; Does this happen to everybody??

Hi Ryan Welcome! Congratulations. I hope you feel better wich you will. I just got banded also well 2/16 and I haven't had any complications.
