  1. The surgeon I saw uses a hospital that has private rooms in the bariatric wing, so nope, I didn't have to share. I did hear other patients vomit though while I was there, its not a guarantee that you wont at least hear it because you'll be walking those halls, at least you should be!
  2. My plan was not a darned thing day of surgery, day 1 clear, day 2 through 14 puree, I was advanced a couple days early because I was doing really well though. I've been on soft for two weeks now, I'm due to be on full diet in two weeks. The only things I am "never" supposed to eat again are fried foods and super sugary things. Also no caffeine or alcohol.

    Support and honesty needed

Lifetime of nausea and vomiting? uh.. I haven't had a bout of nausea or vomiting once. Not in the hospital, not since I have been out of the hospital. I am 26 days post op and I am losing weight and am 2 weeks from being on full diet, and life is good! You do you and don't listen to someone who honestly has no idea what they are talking about

    December 2018 Sleevers!

my surgeon's plan had me on full puree on day two as well. I had chicken salad pureed into a thin paste on day 2, tuna salad day 3, pureed ground beef and low fat gravy, etc. It really is true, all surgeon's plans vary. You can't go by what other people are doing, gotta follow what they give you and call them if you have questions!

I see a nutritionist every single post op appointment I have. Its part of the service with my surgeon. I'd call and ask, if you are tolerating things, they might let you! I was tolerating purees so well they advanced me to stage 3 three days early. Ive been on soft foods for two weeks now.

    December 2018 Sleevers!

Im 8 days out and everything is going amazing. My plan had me on puree on day 2 and I have tolerated everything that I have put in my little tummy so far. Even some chili that I got adventurous and blended the heck out of! Four days out I went to a community Christmas display thing, I was feeling so good! Its kind of bizarre how well things are going, I almost don't want to jinx it. I see my nut on the 17th and I start phase 3 foods on the 20th. So looking forward to some chunks in my life omg lol! Oh, and I have lost 8lbs already, I did a dance this morning around my house it was hilarious Im happy to see you guys are getting your surgeries and things are moving along! Good luck to those of you still waiting! ❤️

    December 2018 Sleevers!

I was only nauseous when I woke up the day after surgery but I had a lot of pain that morning and a throbbing headache. We attributed it to that because the phenergan in combo with the pain meds squashed that cold. I haven't been nauseous since. I am burping a LOT though and things sometimes feel stuck for a minute or two in my esophagus but nothing too terrible.

I'm doing fantastic! My surgery went perfectly, no problems at all. I stayed overnight and was released by 5pm Wednesday. They had me up and walking within 3 hours. I walked most of the time I was there. I had a bit of pain but nothing unbearable. I'm feeling pretty great now. My program's plan has me on blendered foods already, which makes me happy. I've tolerated everything I've tried so far. I've been managing to get all of my protein in no problem, water has been a challenge but so far I'm getting the minimum. So far, so good! I am excited for You! I wish you luck!

    December 2018 Sleevers!

I started my pre-op diet on Tuesday. Its not a full liquid diet, I get to eat food with mine as well as three shakes a day. Its very carefully controlled on what I can eat and how much, 2 very specific frozen meals a day and small amounts of "approved" vegetables with two of my shakes. I'm very thankful for this as I think a pure liquid diet I would be going insane right about now. 11 days until surgery though, all of my pre-op stuff done, blood-work and nicotine test already came back and I am good to go.

  12. If you have a significant other that will be pulling the slack for a week or two, leave him/her a list of things to do (and possibly how to do them 🤣)
  13. They just submitted today so Im playing the waiting game. I have 43 days until surgery so uh, I am praying this goes through fast!
