BEST TEA BAGS TO USE... and which artificial sugar??
Orchids&Dragons replied to New&Improved's topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
I am a huge tea drinker - iced, hot, with milk, without . . . Tea was a great solution for me when I craved sweets. I don't know what brands you have available in Australia, especially since you're opposite-season to us. But right now we have seasonal options like salted caramel and caramel apple (both from Bigelow), pumpkin spice, chai, etc. They have no calories. I make them up with a little stevia and milk and they are delicious and satisfy that sweet craving. Also good, especially if you have stomach issues is peppermint tea, and chamomile helps you sleep. -
I continued to lose weight after having my gallbladder out. Tell her to butt out if she can't be supportive!

Well, someday I'll call you to bail me out of jail for the grapes. I will not buy without tasting. (Just one, but I do taste!)

How long does it take an ounce of fluid to get through your pouch?
Orchids&Dragons replied to ColoradoCanuck's topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
Absolutely. Lack of fluids is what will put you back in the ER. It can take weeks to hit your protein goals. -
@sillykitty Love the booty! Looks amazing! Nails look great, too! Festive!

You might have been able to guess that I was eating a handful of roasted pecans (Love my air fryer) when I posted that 😁

Pull it off? Woman, you are killing it!

Why don't you cook the crust for a little while? It seems like that would amp up the flavor of the roasted nuts.

Found a treasure trove!

Thanksgiving is easy for me, always was. I don't like most of the "naughty" foods. Halloween and Christmas were my danger zones.

My lack of gallbladder doesn't seem to bother about me with anything (shrug)

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Gonna try it this weekend.

18th - I'm most grateful for my sense of humor. It would be awfully hard to go through life without one!

Is something wrong? I feel like I didn’t even get sleeved ... can eat and drink
Orchids&Dragons replied to BQT's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Almost all of the foods you are eating at this stage are "slider" foods. They slide right through your pouch and don't cause restriction. This is appropriate at this stage. Once you move on to solid foods you will definitely feel the restriction. For now, eat the portion sizes recommended by your surgical team to keep your protein/calories where they need to be. Sounds like you're doing great! -
An ultrasound is the best way to diagnose gallstones, but an MRI should have shown them as well if that were the cause of your pain. I hope they find an answer for you soon.

I assume they've ruled out gall bladder?

The band I'm most grateful for - the high school's marching band! My kids learned so much about teamwork and hard work and setting goals. We have an amazing band director. He's so personable. The kids love him and he gets the best out of them. Every one of my kids got to compete at the state level and those are memories they'll have their entire lives.
