Woo-hoo! Look at that tiny waist!

That's pretty much my point, though. This looks like the number that will work for you, and you're a petite woman. I just don't see it working universally for all wl patients.
  5. This is great - a message I needed to hear today. Thanks!
  6. Uh-oh, guess my video is over before it starts 🙁

#9 How I'm Keeping On Plan: Poorly, really struggling. Trying IF to see if I can regain some control

@FluffyChix I think that's a perfect meal plan for the weight loss phase, but if I thought I'd eat like that for the rest of my life, I'd start feeling really deprived. I hope my doc is right with closer to 1400-1500 calories for maintenance. And I can't imagine a man functioning long-term at 800-900 calories/day.

I've gotten back to walking at least once a day. Need to try for twice daily

That may be part of why I'm looking for a new job.
  12. That's pretty much what a lot of the IF videos said, how fasting has been part of religious traditions forever. Just one of the perks of being religious.

    Food Before and After Photos

I haven't posted in a while - Grilled chicken quesadillas, grape tomatoes and low-fat sour cream on 1/2 Flatout wrap. No afters, yum!
  14. Is 4:30 late enough to be a make-up day for Ramadan?

    How old are your babies?
  18. Still might be worth it as an investment in your long-term success. And you've got challenges that most of the rest of us don't have, working in the food industry and all the travel.
  19. Well, at least none of us will advise you to cut back on cardio! 😉
  20. I feel for you. We've all got this love/hate relationship with food and also an absolute terror of going back to where we started. You might benefit from checking back in with your nutritionist or therapist.
  21. No idea. But it's been much less of a hassle since my throat has been healing up.
  22. Soooo close. Life is just a tease! Glad to hear you're doing well!
  23. I was the opposite. I mostly ate healthy foods. I love veggies, usually ate those first, hardly ever in any type of sauce. Our meats are usually grilled and I prefer chicken or fish to red meat. I just always ate way too much and honestly had never felt truly full. Not even on Thanksgiving. That's why I loved my restriction.
  24. You know, one other thing he told me was really interesting. He said the pyloric (sp?) valve opens on a "timer", i.e. at regular intervals. However, the interval varies from one person to the next. It made me wonder if overweight people "cycle" more quickly than normal-sized people and if that keeps us from feeling full. Thoughts?
