  1. Omgosh, that food was just for 2 people! Yikes! And in the good 'ole days, I probably would have eaten at least half of it!

    I love Skinnytaste recipes!
  4. Tell her it's way too early to worry. She's still very swollen inside and people heal at different rates. She hasn't even shed all the IV fluids yet. Let her know that some doctors tell you not to weigh at all the first month because it can be discouraging. As she heals, the weight will drop, probably dramatically!

Congrats! I've enjoyed travelling on this journey with you!

Going for a pregnancy test today....

Congratulations! Yes, get as much blood work as you can. If your PCP was kept in the loop, she'll have your prior blood work and will know what to check. Definitely get in for a follow up with your surgeon, as well. Make time. You want to know that your body is not deficient in anything before the baby starts making demands on it. Best wishes!

    Eating was an activity.

I still very much enjoy going out to eat. I ate primarily soups from February-November and even then had a good time. That's how we usually socialize and I wouldn't want to give that up for anything.

    I did it!

Congratulations and best wishes for a speedy recovery!

I love looking at "after" pics, where if I'd just met you for the first time, I'd think "What a nice figure" and have no idea that you'd ever been overweight! Congrats!

Glad to hear your mood is on an upswing. Doldrums suck! Congrats on 3 pounds after the IF fiasco. Resetting hormones isn't easy. I'm another shopping-hater, but it is becoming less stressful. Cheesecake-what kind of sadistic friends do you hang out with? I mean, REALLY, PEOPLE???
  13. We miss you, too! Glad to see you're doing well and send our congrats to your mom!
  14. So, not complicated at all, huh?

    checking in with February sleevers

Everyone who was following the original thread will see this post. If you want to post to everyone, just enter something in the "Reply to this topic" box. January was my first stall month, so I can't complain at all. I've been allowing some carb-creep, so I deserve what I get. I'd like to buckle back down though. I'm fluttering right on the cusp of normal BMI (hit it one day only) and I'd really like to get about a 5 lb. cushion into a normal BMI and try to maintain there. But, if I stay here, I'm still sooo much better off than I was!
  17. Omgosh, I had forgotten about that. It was sooooo irritating!
  18. Thank you, he was excellent!

    Wheelchair User Seeking Gastric Sleeve

Welcome, FayeDolly. These forums are very friendly and supportive and I hope you find some good information here. I don't have any experience with disabilities, but I can answer at least one of your questions. They had your Dad up and walking to prevent blood clots. In your case, they would use the same methods that they used for your other surgeries. Many people don't do all the exercise that they're supposed to (or any at all) and still lose a lot of weight. I think there's a really good chance that this surgery will do wonders for you. Best of luck!

Just letting my non-surgery related frustration out

You did the right thing. The director needs to k of if someone else is giving contradictory direction. Good luck and break a leg! (Is that still said in theaters?)
