Hunger vs. Nausea

Just because the "timeline" says you're ready for solid foods doesn't mean that you, in particular, are ready. Some of us transition much more slowly than others. If solids are making you sick, go back to the softer foods and try again in a week. Also, which solids are you trying? Some are much more difficult to process than others. -

I'm glad the surgery went well and that you've gotten good results from the labs so far. Hope you have a speedy recovery and that this fixes all your issues. -
I hit periodic waves of low energy for several months. I think it was my body protesting to all the unkind things the surgeon did to it and to the severe change in my caloric intake. There may also have been a certain amount of metabolic revenge going on, too. It is normal. Some people do a lot better if they get extra B vitamins, especially a B-12 shot. You might consider that.

Thanks, Kitty. You've been so supportive. I really appreciate you!

This is a very non-specific NSV - but I feel FANTASTIC! All of a sudden, 13 months out, I feel absolutely amazing. I don't want to scare any newbies, I had issues that you are very unlikely to experience. But, I have felt so-so or downright crappy for so long that I had accepted that as my new normal. But now, I have to set the record straight. Yippee! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

Where in Texas are you? I'm just south of Fort Worth. Is there anything I can do to help? -

Have you spent enough time together that you can tell him honestly, "I know you're doing this to make me feel sexy and romantic, but it really makes me uncomfortable?" Without going into the weight-loss details. Maybe suggest another way that works better for you? Like a can of Reddi-whip and a wicked smile? Or kisses on the back of your neck (but not in a creepy Biden way!) I think you need to give him alternatives that work better for you. -

That's terrible. I hope everything goes smoothly this time.

For yesterday, I'm proud that I hit my goal weight last month. I really didn't think that I could get that low when I set it, it was more of a fantasy number. I now weigh less than I ever have as an adult, I don't really journal, putting words to paper is a nightmare for me. However, I kept my food journals during this process in pretty notebooks and added notes about dr. appointments or significant issues as I went along. So they are the "journal" of my weight-loss journey.

Thank heavens you are sleeved so they can access your ducts through your throat. If you have a bypass you literally "can't get there from here" -
Until you get to soft foods, the liquids and thin purees just slide right through your pouch. Once you get to the soft foods, they have enough body to stay in your pouch for a while. Don't worry, this is normal.

I'm so glad you're doing better. What flavoring did you discover, pray tell?
