I was told yes, take vitamins for life because you cannot eat enough volume to get everything from food.

Have you taken probiotics since surgery? I was given antibiotics in the hospital which caused me to have terrible diarrhea. A few days on probiotics and I was much improved. Good luck!

I was 58 when I had my surgery. Lost over 100 lbs. the first year and hit goal (122 lbs) shortly thereafter. Don't let age be your deciding factor.

OK, total confession here, I ate this plate twice! No leftovers. My son (who lives 50 miles away) was tired of coming home on Fridays and finding out that his parents had totally forgotten that it was a Friday during Lent. (For non-Catholics, it should be no-meat but since my surgery we haven't been paying attention). Anyway, just for him and because I feel really good today, I followed all the rules: garlic/lemon shrimp, Greek salad w/feta and spaghetti squash with a little butter & Parmesan. It was delish and he was so happy 😊

I don't have a lap-band, but I did have reflux issues. You can try sleeping on a wedge on in a recliner for a while. Also, don't eat or drink within about 3 hours of lying down.

That is really bad reflux. Call your doctor.
