Can drink too much liquid?
Orchids&Dragons replied to PEGGO's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
I think they do. Talk to your pharmacist to get one recommended for post-antibiotics. -
Planning to borrow? 😄

Can drink too much liquid?
Orchids&Dragons replied to PEGGO's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Everytime I take antibiotics, I have diarrhea until I take probiotics to get my gut bacteria reestablished. -
I don't know your initial fitness level, but if that is part of the issue, look for "chair exercises" on youtube. You'll be amazed at what a good workout you can get while in a chair. The chair keeps you from exerting too much pressure on knees and hips.

Can drink too much liquid?
Orchids&Dragons replied to PEGGO's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Honestly, I was able to drink normally within a few days of surgery. I was lucky. -
Can drink too much liquid?

So long as you're not gulping. -
How could I have missed this one . . . I miss ADVIL!!! Tylenol just doesn't cut it. Some nights I can barely sleep because of hip and shoulder pain. But at least my weight isn't exacerbating the issues.

Can drink too much liquid?
Orchids&Dragons replied to PEGGO's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Don't worry unless it starts to cause pain. Some people never have difficulty drinking. It probably has to do with how much/little swelling you experienced. So long as you keep sipping and not gulping, you are fine. -

I'd call. Better to be safe, imo. -

**Weight coming off everywhere but mid section** HELP PLZ
Orchids&Dragons replied to New&Improved's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Sadly, the last pounds to come off are usually the belly. No way to target that I'm aware of. -
Anyone have thyroid issues?
Orchids&Dragons replied to cutebutcrzy's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thank you, thank you! I did not know about this and my shoulders/hips have been in soooo much pain! I had half of my thyroid removed mid-October and maybe that is the reason. They checked hormone levels the week after surgery, but not since then. Sorry about jacking the thread! -

Simply Merry X mas and to all a good WLS year One Request!
Orchids&Dragons replied to AJ Tylo's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Do not compare your progress to others. We're all on a unique journey. No one else has your combination of hormones/history/age/metabolism/stress/etc. Also, be prepared for stalls. They happen and it sucks. Take your measurements before surgery and regularly thereafter so that when weight loss stalls, you can still see the progress you're making. (Yes, you can lose inches even when the scale doesn't move!) Find some buddies who have surgery around the same time as you. It is great having people to talk with who are at the same stage in the process that you are. -
I sleep on a wedge pillow. It helps a lot. Also, try not to drink too close to bedtime, that exacerbates the problem. Hope your recovery is going well, otherwise!
