Slipping into insanity? (Nightmare on Sleeve Street)
Orchids&Dragons replied to Vance-666's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Vivid dreams are not uncommon. At least for me they did stop after a while. It may have something to do with the hormonal imbalances that rapid WL can cause. -
Welcome to the forums! We're happy to support you in any way we can. Good luck on your journey!

Great Forum and Site
Orchids&Dragons replied to LizzieMmmkay's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Welcome, Lizzy! I shared many of your feelings when I came across this site. It is truly a blessing! I wish I had gotten my weight under control before my kids were teenagers. I didn't have surgery until my youngest 2 were seniors in college. No point in regrets, though. Best wishes on your journey! -
They look fun!

I had my surgery when I was 58, so I doubt that's it. Do you take any medications that cause weight gain?
-
That is adorable!!! And I am totally envious of those legs!

Oh, man! Once we're neighbors I've gotta borrow that necklace! Love the dress! Would you believe I just bought an olive green one, too?

Wanting to eat everything before surgery. Help!
Orchids&Dragons replied to Dee2938's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
First off, calm down, Dee! Some of this is just the panic with an approaching major life change. It will be alright. Unless you develop lactose intolerance, there are absolutely no foods that you will never be able to eat again, if you choose to. You will just have to make allowances, if necessary. Lots of people have had food funerals (myself included!) and in the long run I don't think they were any more/less successful than others. You have to remember that the 60% number is just an average. Some do better, some don't. It's a mixture of how hard you work, how you eat, genetics, lifestyle, overall health (including medications), etc. Good luck on your journey and keep in touch! -
