I am still waiting for this NSV! Given my edema issues, it may never happen, but it would be so terrific! Congrats to you!

Preop appointment????
Orchids&Dragons replied to Rays of Sunshine's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Not generally a big deal. It's all about getting your paperwork in order, making sure you know when and where to show up, review your pre-op instructions, etc. -
They look great on you, congrats!

Off to another doctor's appointment. I know the clothes are baggy, but I'm supposed to wear loose clothes today 😉 It's such a treat to HAVE loose clothes to choose from! Ok, really only the bottom needs to be loose, so I changed

Post-Op Pain: VSG to RNY

Anytime it doesn't feel normal you should call the doc. Hope you feel better soon. -
I had little edges of the glue lifting before I wanted the glue to peel away so I used nail clippers to trim those off because they kept catching on my clothes and tugging on the rest of the glue.

Don't panic. You can get back on track. You were pretty vague. How did you fall off the wagon? Was it too much food, the wrong foods, alcohol? If you provide more detail, we can be more helpful.

Food Before and After Photos
Orchids&Dragons replied to GreenTealael's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Philly cheese steak stuffed portobellos from skinnytaste.com. Hubby will probably eat his plus the rest of mine. -
My surgeon said that an RnY on a "virgin" stomach is more restrictive than on a revision. However, adding the malabsorption is what would improve weight loss. This was why I chose the sleeve initially. I really didn't want to deal with malabsorption issues, but you gotta take it as it comes. Still no nsaids, though. Good luck with your surgeon appointment. Let us know how it goes.

I was sleeved in Feb. 2018, revised to RnY Oct. 2018 for reflux. I was taking the max dose of prescription omeprazole twice a day plus Tums, as needed. Still woke up sometimes with acid in my nose. I had not had reflux prior to the sleeve surgery. The RnY did completely resolve the GERD issue, but I miss the restriction I had with my sleeve. It was really tight, which I considered a good thing. I do have restriction with the RnY, but nowhere near as much. Regardless, I am happy I had the revision before I destroyed my esophagus and teeth.

Omgosh, from that angle, the white stripes on your pants make your legs look about 3" wide! 😂
