Good luck to you! Hope you heal quickly! -
Me, too. Even when I was smaller, I was built like a fire plug - no curves here! Junior all the way.

I have my wedding dress for that! :-)

I am 6 weeks post-op and just realized that I haven't been HUNGRY for the past few days. Just a bit hungry. I am thrilled. I guess the cravings are at bay for the time being, so I don't spend any time thinking about food. YEAH! After hearing about the hunger honeymoon, I thought I had gotten a raw deal. (I realize it's head hunger, but it all feels the same from the inside) It all feels so much more do-able now.

High Protein Snack Foods

Thank you! I'll need to wait a while for the nuts, but the others are good ideas. -
High Protein Snack Foods
Orchids&Dragons replied to Orchids&Dragons's topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
I'm afraid to try almonds yet. My pouch is so small (according to what I can eat) that I'm afraid it's still pretty swollen. I've heard that nuts are one of the more difficult foods to process. But, I'll keep that in mind for later. Is there a brand of cheese crisps that you like? -
Congrats on your surgery! Hope the healing goes quickly!

Yes, but you strain out the chunks. Sorry your journey started out so rough. Wishing you smooth sailing from here on out.

You betcha! Congrats on your surgery, hope all goes well!

Here's my sweetie. I had been saying for years that our next dog would be named Lola. L-O-L-A Lola. (Kinks fan) and who showed up on the Humane Society webpage, already named Lola: It was meant to be!

Protein Shake recommendations, Surgery Date 5/3/18
Orchids&Dragons replied to HopefullXOXOXO's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I thought that one was dreadful. The taste wasn't horrible, but it left a weird film in my mouth. I tried to give away 3 bottles that I had left over at a support group meeting - no takers! -
Mackenzie Phillips (when I was much leaner), and my younger sister looked like Valerie Bertanelli. For those of you youngsters, the TV show reference is "One Day at a Time" (70's version)

I have chai tea bags. I'd use some vanilla Premier Protein as the "creamer" in my Chai latte - delish! -
1 Week post-op and failing
Orchids&Dragons replied to RichCat72's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I'm sorry, this sounds miserable. Have you tried any protein waters? They're not as heavy as shakes so you might be able to tolerate them better. Hope you're feeling better soon. -

Bypass vs Sleeve
Orchids&Dragons replied to lauren18's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I went with my doctor's recommendation for my particular situation. I got sleeved. I probably could have pushed for RNY, but didn't want to deal with the long term supplement issues. -
Protein Shake recommendations, Surgery Date 5/3/18
Orchids&Dragons replied to HopefullXOXOXO's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I'd buy several kinds, just the 4-packs. They are all quite sweet and you may find it easier to mix it up. Plus, your taste may change after surgery, so don't stockpile, even the ones you like. That being said, I liked the Premier Protein, chocolate or banana flavors. Good luck, I wish you much success! -

You can try peppermint herbal tea for the nausea, even some sf peppermints.
