Just Another Facet of Weight Loss?
Orchids&Dragons replied to Frustr8's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
The extra fat in your abdomen puts pressure on your bladder, so as that is reduced, you will likely have fewer leakage episodes. Can't speak to the other issues. -

Anyone use Premier Protein Clear drinks during pre or post op?

I go about 50/50, but it's entirely up to you and your sweetness preference. I had the tropical punch. -

Sorry, grammy, but Dragon64 and I have never met. My '64 Dragon lives in Texas! 1964 was the year of the dragon in the Chinese calendar. -

I've used them. They're not bad. Quite sweet - I dilute them with water and ice. They don't leave a film in your mouth like Isopure. -

Thank you, I'll check these out! -
I almost feel like I should just give up on any type of non-liquid food. UGH! I was really good this morning, just yogurt then went to the gym. So, when I got home I thought I could have a treat and make a protein cake in a mug. Recipe didn't turn out well; it was very dense, but I had about 3 bites because I'm too cheap to throw it away. My stomach is totally rejecting it and I've had foamies for over an hour! This is still happening to me 4 or 5 times a week. I am SO OVER IT! At least I'm not at work today, small favors

UGH! Tried 1/2 oz of thin-sliced ham wrapped around a string cheese stick - foamies again! Not even 1.5 oz and I've been miserable for over an hour. I didn't even eat the whole thing! This is getting SOOOOO OLD!

Oh, no, sorry. I thought you meant the big elastic bandage that goes around your waist. Sorry. -

I found it very helpful. I wore mine for 2 weeks. When's your surgery? I'll mail you mine, if you'd like. Unless you happen to be in the Fort Worth area and you can pick it up. -
You are very wise, Yoda! Did you have your surgery yesterday? Are you feeling ok?
-
Good luck with your appointments!

Now I'm trying to think if I know anyone who's diabetic! I have been so exhausted and nauseous. Like you said, hit the wall. Thanks for the info. Glad you're feeling better! -

So, has it gone back down?

The other diuretic I'm on has potassium in it. So, I'm good. Speaking of the 45 minute thing - The doctor injected the lasix directly into my vein because the oral meds weren't having enough of an effect. Then I drove to work. About 20 minutes after the injection, I ended up in the mother of all traffic jams. I was praying "Please, God, just let me make it to the next exit. Don't make me pee in the middle lane of the interstate!" God was kind and I made it to the next exit and there was even a gas station there! I could hardly walk in, in needed to pee so bad!
