Sorry you're feeling so bad. If you're still in the hospital, they should be able to give you IV pain meds or IV nausea meds so that you can take the oral pain meds. 2-3 spoons of the jello is about right. You just don't have much room in there. Don't worry, it will get better!

Congrats on your surgery! Hope you're healing nicely! Focus on the water, that's the A#1 goal right now. Increase the protein as you are able. -

Mine lasts for as long as 2 hours at a time! One of the reasons that I'm still mostly living on yogurt. And that's with walking and trying to breathe. But I agree - DO NOT ADD LIQUID! -

I've bought these before. The entire bag (large size from Sam's) disappeared almost instantaneously. I forgot to hide it and write "MOM" in big, bold Sharpie letters! I feel guilty "hoarding" food, but with 3 sons, ages 22-24 in the house, if it's not hidden, it's gone!

Other than Communion wine, I'm planning to wait until my Anni-birth-sary in July. That would be 5 months post-op for me. (Hubby and I have the same birthday, so we got married on it ) I pretty much drank wine every night before surgery but I don't really miss it all that much and I know that the acid would eat me alive right now. -

Your acid reflux pill is probably a PPI. I take prilosec twice a day. Since your stomach is a muscle to which you have just been extremely unkind, my surgeon prescribes a muscle relaxant for the first month to help it heal. I don't know whether that's common or not, but it might help. -

Wow! As you can prove you were on a long-term birth-control method at the time, maybe that won't be an issue. You were taking (what seemed like) adequate precautions. -
