    Yoghurt drinks

That would be a liquid, but double-check the label. Most yogurt drinks I've seen have a lot of sugar. But even when something is liquid, always count the protein, too.

    3 weeks post op

Congrats on your surgery, sounds like you're doing well. I'd start a little "softer" than a meatball. Maybe a soft-scrambled egg, applesauce or mashed potatoes. Good luck!

    Hello

Welcome to the site. The community is very helpful and friendly! When do you expect to have surgery?
  4. It all depends. You have to increase your calories when you get to maintenance, anyway. I can't stay at 800 forever.
  5. And I would never tell you to stop. We may be headed to the same destination, but we've all got our own path
  6. Good question. I admit that most of my "cheats" are things I would like to incorporate into my maintenance lifestyle. However, I do consider them cheats because I want to toe the line until I get to goal weight and anything that distracts me from that or delays it, is not my friend. I don't want to waste my honeymoon!

    Non Scale Victories

Oh, wow. I just realized - I'll be moving away from the maternity department! Yeah! Guys - you may not understand - most plus sized women's clothes are located right next to maternity. In case we get confused, I guess.

    Liquid Phase

My favorite protein water is Protein2O. They're not as sweet as the others. I really like the coconut flavor.

    Liquid Phase

I found that my brain "recognized" broths as a "meal" and gave me a sense of satiety. Sweet drinks didn't do this. SF Jello also retained some of it's "solidity" and helped me feel like I'd actually eaten something.

    Just need to vent/cry

I'm sorry you're having such a rough time of it. I hope they get the nausea sorted out. Diarrhea for 6 weeks is dreadful. Have you been taking probiotics? If the docs gave you any antibiotics during your surgery time (not unusual), you might need to reset the good bacteria in your intestines. Have the docs had you switch up your protein? Maybe to something plant based? You could have a temporary sensitivity to whey or other milk products.

Overheard Staff Joking About My Body

Sounds like she's in the wrong job.
  12. Because there's no calories getting to your brain right now!
  13. Dilute with unsweetened Almond or coconut milk? or add 1 cup of cold, decaf coffee for an iced latte?

    Pity Party - WAAAAAAAH!

Light bulb moment!!! I really, really, really didn't want yogurt for dinner again tonight. We had leftover baked chicken from last night and it was soooo calling my name. I knew I couldn't just eat the chicken, but we have grapes, too. Nice, juicy ones. I managed to eat a little bit of chicken, a grape to wash it down, a little bit of chicken, another grape . . . I ate an ounce and a half of chicken!!! In one sitting!!! JOY!!! I feel so stupid for not figuring this out earlier.

Overheard Staff Joking About My Body

I am so sorry that you went through this. When you go back for your blood work, bring 3 copies of your post with you. Stop in and tell the PA that you need a moment of her time and that her "friends" need to join you. Give them each a copy of your post and add a p.s. at the bottom to them know if you ever hear the slightest hint that this behavior has been repeated, you will report them to the surgeon, the office manager and maybe even post it on YELP. Remind them that patients DO talk. You don't have to say a word, then walk out with your head high. If the PA won't meet with you, go straight to the surgeon and office manager. You've dealt with enough sh!t in your life. You don't need to deal with theirs, too.

    Food Before and After Photos

Just don't tell me that's a seafood fork!
  17. I'm not talking about anyone else here, but when it comes to cheating, I'm a "give her an inch and she'll take the whole yardstick" kind of girl. And I'm not limited by the one oz. thing since almost everything I eat is a slider. I get truly scared when I'm off plan, even for a bit.
  18. Well, ya know, the bag did have 3g of protein! LOL! Actually, this thread terrifies me. It makes me feel like it's ok to cheat even though I know it's not. I should probably quit following it.
  19. Even though you're at your "forever" stage, you're not fully up to speed yet. Each week, you'll be able to eat a bit more until you can hit your targets. If you really want to hit 85g, try protein waters, rather than shakes. They won't fill you up and you need the liquids, anyway. I like Protein2O, myself.

    OK, what have you lost?

An Irish setter, a human head and a rack of baby back ribs! I love this game!

any sleevers in their late 50's

I'm 59, was sleeved 2/26/18. I'm down exactly 80 lb. since I started the pre-op diet on 2/16/18. Can't complain! My weight loss has slowed to about a pound a week now, but it's still progress! Good luck on your journey!
  23. I ate an entire small bag of nutter-butters today. I donated blood, and OF COURSE, I needed to make sure I didn't get woozy, don'tch know? At lease I had water instead of Gatorade And yes, I wrote them down in my log! This was actually the first time I have ever gotten dizzy donating blood. Glad I did it at work and didn't have to drive home from a blood center. I was still fine to drive an elevator!
