I just joined the forum...had my surgery early on Monday the 2nd. Things seem to be going well. They had me up walking shortly after moving into my room. I did experience a bit of nausea occasionally, particularly when walking. I didn't throw up, just felt queasy. You definitely do feel bloated afterwards but now I'm 2 days post-surgery and that seems to be slowly disapating. The most difficult thing for me so far has been getting my 64 oz of water (clear liquids) down. I didn't realize sipping would be so tough. I have a small burp most each time I drink.
Good news is that I haven't had to take any pain pills. I do have some pain at my incisions but as long as I'm careful getting up from a chair or blowing my nose it's bearable. Doc has me on omeprazole (prilosec) for 90 days to reduce stomach acid and I begin my vitamins next Monday. I'm using Bariatric Advantage vitamins and Bariatric advantage Calcium Citrate Chewy Bites. For my 2 week prep diet I used Nectar brand whey protien isolate in chocolate, fuzzy navel, and strawberry kiwi. For me, the chocolate is by far the best tasting of the 3.
I better go so I can start sipping...good luck and God bless!
