    I should have mentioned in my initial post that I had a sleeve in 2018. Had horrible GERD since and also never lost the most weight that my surgeon said I could possibly lose. Fast forward through COVID, loss of a family member, major job change l, etc etc - I actually gained almost ALL of the weight back. It very embarrassing. I would have never thought that I would gain it all back - ever. As the day goes, never say never. I have a new surgeon now and she is amazing and did not make me feel like a loser. Since I have GERD and never lost to my potential, and have the hiatal hernia, I am having a revision to gastric bypass on 8/11. My highest weight was 250 and my lowest weight after sleeve was 169. Iโ€™m 5โ€™4โ€. To say that this second chance means everything to me is an understatement. I havenโ€™t even told anyone (besides my husband) that Iโ€™m doing the revision because Iโ€™m so embarrassed.

    I had bypass on 8/11. Stayed one night in hospital. Feeling ok today. Was able to do a ten minute walk this morning. Not too much pain.

    Hello everyone!!!!!
    My name is Tamra and I will be revising from LapBand to Sleeve, August 15th!! I cannot believe how many of us have the same day haha.
    I have had my band since 2010 but after life, babies, marriage and an empty band I am not heavier then my first surgery. I am nervous, scared, excited....everything you can be.

    Please don't be embarrassed!! Its life, and things happen!
    My bestfriend was band to sleeve, and then GERD took over; she just bypassed a few months ago and hasn't had one single day of it again!

    Just got the call from my surgeon yesterday that my insurance gave the go ahead. They will call me with my surgery date in the next day or two! Excited, scared, more excited...

    I will say this, Im 5 mos post op and I have lost "only" about 40 lbs. At first it was really getting to me about not losing fast enough.....HOWEVER, I don't have to take diabetic medication anymore, my clothes are too big on me. So I stopped worrying about weighing myself everyday and decided to just be in the moment of small victories. For instance, I bought a few XL shirts, because everything I have is now swimming on me, and when I got home and put them on, I was like "WHOA!" because they too are a little big :). I went from 3x to L/XL and I am still going. So don't stress yourself out and worry. Its happening and you will see soon.

    Weight loss is SO individual. Keep with your program, and you will lose weight. Between my preop diet and 2 months post op (10 weeks total), I've lost 48lbs. And i stall a lot. You got this!

    Squats done.Yoga ... I get super nauseated and feel horrible when I do yoga or Pilates. I have tried both more than once and I get all clammy, nauseated and feel so horrible after. Does this happen to anyone else?

    My Goal 175 pounds and a Size 15 Junior
    My Highest Weight 365+ never worked out the BMI for That- somewhere between 50 and 60?
    Today- First Surgiversity,and 182.3 and a 28.8 BMI
    Squat choice Easy and Please God,that I WILL Not Fall Backwards!
    And something I find Hard to believe is that This Weight Loss I have had is really and truly MINE; I still worry that Someone or Something will take it away- that Fat Frustr8 will return- that All This is only a Dream and can be abruptly wrenched away.๐Ÿ˜ช๐Ÿ˜ข๐Ÿ˜ช

    I'm 5 days late! Ha! Here goes:
    1. My personal goal: Be consistent in my meal plans and exercising every day
    2. Post-Op - VGS - 46 days
    3. 235 - 40 BMI
    4. Easy squats (for right now)
    5. My fav flaw: I believe in people when I first meet them. **Shrug** I love meeting new people and until people prove me otherwise, I trust them...This has bitten me in the buttocks (in my Forrest Gump voice)...

    Rest day for squats today, but I still had my work out at Orange Theory. I love that place! I have a nice pile of clothes in my closet that is ready to donate. I have donated so many clothes since this journey began. It feels amazing!! With fall coming, Iโ€™ll need to get some clothes that fit for the weather. I got a lot of cute dresses for summer this year and I where heels everyday .... neither of which I used to even think about wearing โ€œbefore.โ€ Heels used to kill my feet, knees and back. Iโ€™m short and short waisted, so had a lot of trouble finding dresses that would work. Now, I love to wear them. I try buy all of my clothes on clearance or thrift store.
    I need some motivation to get 20 more pounds off ladies! My trouble time of day is evening when I get home from the gym.

    Day 2: catching up with a friend... does my hubby count, lol? We are busy with 2 teen girls that both have sports, music, etc. I plan to spend the day catching up with him, lol. We sit often have days that we can just hang and chat.
    Squat challenge: I have been going to Orange Theory Fitness and LOVE it! If we donโ€™t get the squats for today in my class, I will do them right after.
    I ate pretty bad this weekend and feel so tired of bad food today! I plan to track all of my food and get my Water in today and I am just about to do my OTF class in 10mins. Iโ€™m at a point in my weight loss journey that I feel really good and people tell me how great Iโ€™m looking ... this makes me sometimes not be as on point with food as I need to be. I still want to lose about 20-25 pounds and need to track food everyday to do that. So thankful that this group was created! Have a great day everyone!

    Squats done.
    Caught up with a friend yesterday.
    Do I love or loathe exercise.. Depends on the day and the exercise. (Although I loathe strength training most days) I donโ€™t dislike working out and being active now that Iโ€™m at a healthy weight. Itโ€™s much easier to do and I find myself getting up and doing things when Iโ€™m bored vs just watching tv.
    Iโ€™m the old lady shooting hoops in my driveway now.
