You can do 8 days! I'm sorry you are only doing liquids, but I bet you will have an easier time post op when you MUST be on liquids only. Once I'm on liquids only, I'm sure I will struggle. I am allowed one lean meat meal a day, and I really look forward to it. I'm sure you can do these last few days!

Do you trust these coworkers enough to let them choose a spouse for you? How about let them decide for you to have children, or not have children? How about let them take over your financial decisions? Nope? They cannot know what this is like for you. They have done none of the research, did none of the prerequisites and won’t be working the plan post op. This is all YOU. Fortunately you have the numbers on your side, the majority of people who undergo this treatment are successful. When you are thin and healthy, don’t be surprised if they aren’t your friends anymore. They won’t say it’s because you lost weight, they will have some other reason, but they will not really be happy for you.

I'm doing much better, I had a great Friday and this morning I didn't even think about eating, I almost forgot my shake! I tried an Iconic coconut green tea thing that shot right back out of my mouth! A great big nope for that flavor! It's all good though, I rinsed my mouth with water and then drank a premier chocolate shake. So, one week left! mondaymondaymondaymondaymondaymondaymonday

Only my husband and oldest daughter know. I’m not ashamed I just don’t need negativity and bullshit in my life. Plus, I’m a private person. I think about women who get an abortion, are they taking the “easy” way? I don’t think so, still they get to make a choice about their body. Why can’t obese people have the same consideration? I have lost weight the “natural” way. Several times in fact. It always comes back though, and brings along some friends! I can’t even exercise anymore because the joint pain is unbearable. I’m getting this surgery instead of a scooter chair! I’m keeping this private for self preservation.

Sorry to hear of your family’s troubles. Thankful for a good surgical outcome! As far as your surgery goes, there will always be things that happen or get in the way. If you have support, take advantage of it and get your surgery done. You are important too. Prayers for rapid healing for your husband and prayers for an easy preop, and surgery for you!

My thoughts on the pre-op diet: The good; protein water from Sam’s is yum! Iconic protein drinks are super yum Evol Fire grilled steak is awesome The bad; Makes me think of food nonstop Tofu almost made me barf Siggi’s yogurt is revolting, and I gagged on it I’m jealous of the food I fix my boys I miss wine The ugly; I wanted real food so bad I ate an entire cantaloupe

I like watching Clusie as well! Oh, and this preop diet is bullshit! I hate it, so much harder than I thought it would be. On a positive note I LOVE Iconic protein drinks and the protein water from sams!

Hi Kay07! Are you excited? Nervous? My doc asked me those questions and I said with all honesty “No, I feel prepared and determined” but in the quiet of the night when I have trouble sleeping, I scroll through these posts and do get a bit nervous. I’m having trouble adjusting to my preop diet. I have to admit I miss my nightly glass of red wine.
