Considering cancelling surgery
WoodyDNA replied to erika702's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
What they all said. What you're feeling is normal. For me, this whole process is 90% mind over matter, the rest is food and exercise. You got this. Get your mind right. God didn't open this door for you to close it. Let's do this. -
My surgery was March12th, VGS. I am 16 days post op or two weeks. Honestly, I was nervous. I think it was more because of the challenge that was ahead. However, I survived the procedure (barely) and my pain and soreness has subsided. I've walked everyday since being discharged taking it slow and steady building endurance. Please don't over do it. The weakness is real for me in the mornings. I think it's your decision if you want to let others in on your decision. I'll say, without my family and really close friends, it would have been a challenge. They are there to help. Let them. God's speed to you all. Let's get healthy...

Sleeve incision area pain
WoodyDNA replied to wjgo's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am ten days post op and I completely understand your issue with pain. I agree the Hydro liquid doesn't help much, but getting up and moving around did. I took baby steps when walking, just to make sure I wasn't over doing it. I made myself get out of bed and sit up as much as possible too.
