  1. Hello all!! I am also a revision-ist. Got banded in 2005. Fully unfilled by 2012 (by choice. tired of refilling all the time). My same surgeon emailed me and was preforming revisions now. I took him up on the offer!! Had the band removed and the sleeve done all at one time/surgery. VERY happy band is gone. Tired of getting stuck and ruining the whole meal. I am close to 4 weeks post op sleeve and am currently down 15 pounds. Super thrilled.....truly just for the idea of how much less I am eating. Was so disgusted at the amount of food I could take in at one sitting. Good luck to all those revision-ists out there!!

    Gas pain

Please excuse my naivety here.....when you are speaking of gas.....do you mean from your intestine/bowels/colon (pardon...farting...sorry) or from gas within your whole body? from the surgery?
  3. As you will hear continually through this forum here....everyone is different. You will need to listen to your own body and your own healing. But to answer your question......I was sleeved on a Thursday and was back to work the following Wednesday. So less than a week. I have a desk job also. Good luck to you in this journey!!

    Is my progress enough?

30 lbs in 12 weeks!! I think that is fabulous! That equates to 2.5 lbs/week! I think the bottom line is that you are losing!! I would say....Keep up the good work!! It is a mental challenge. Keep the thoughts positive. Hard? Yes!! Impossible? No! As they always say....If it were easy........

    Just wondering...

@aNYCdb........so impressed with your weight loss!!! you got sleeved approximately 1 week prior to me. I am curious...how have you lost that much?? I know everyone is different and everyone will lose at their own rate....but holy guacamole girl!! you are tearing it up!! Well done!! Have you done anything different? Is there an ancient Chinese secret that I am unaware of? lol

    Any March 2018 Sleevers?

Got sleeved on the 15th too!! How are you doing?
  7. First of all....congratulations on your journey!! Now.....are you walking? Best thing you can do for gas pain. I am 6 days out and have set my phone alarm to remind me to get up and walk!!
  8. Hello. So happy you are all here!! I was just sleeved (revision from Lap Band) less than 1 week ago (3/15/18). In December 2016 I had hip replacement surgery. I am a runner and this put me out of commission and thus weight gain (40 lbs since then). With my new "bionic" hip I am ok to run again (Dr. not super happy....but I am). Now with this new surgery, when can I get back to running again? or truly any type of exercise for that matter? I realize that the sleeve is a tool and so want to incorporate my running with it for maximum results. Thank you in advance for any replies and/or suggestions!
