Maybe its all in my mind, maybe not

Thank you all! Sorry I haven't been on here to check (lots of dr. Appts) I appreciate everyones responses and I hope everyone worked through. I think it's something thats going to haunt me for a while but im working on it.. A lot has to do with me being bored and being an emotional eater!! Thank you so much that makes sense. Just glad to know I am not the only one.
  4. I had the sleeve and a hiatal hernia repair on March 26th 2018 my starting stats were 265.5 I am now at 256. I know that a lot of this journey is mental. I just want to know if there's anyone else out there that still feels like they might be hungry because I do and it hasn't even been a full two weeks. I'm getting my fluids in, I'm doing really well with my fluid intake and I'm doing my two protein shakes a day - meeting my protein requirements but I'm still really struggling with always thinking about food and I know that I need to stay busy which I am but I'm afraid. I just want to know if this is a normal feeling that anyone else is or has gone through because I do definitely feel fuller faster which I love but I'm just scared that I'm always thinking about food and I know that it's mental but I'm like I said I'm really scared. My follow-up appointment with my surgeon is next week so I will definitely take this up with him but in the meantime I wanted to hear it from the mouths of all the babes who have been through it. I was feeling so good about losing about a pound a day since surgery, I have about a week away from my period. i retain a lot of water during this time. Today I woke up, got on the scale and I am up a pound and the fact that I'm up is really getting to me. Like I'm truly bothered. Of course it happened the day after I went to stage 2 as directed by my bariatric nurse. So now I'm afraid of almond milk, thick liquids and basically everything except chicken and beef broth. Anyone have anything they can offer to an overly worried new sleever. Sincerely, The driver of the struggle bus
  5. I have heard similar comments directed at people other than myself and it breaks my heart. You chose who you want to tell, find your support system, whether its your family, friends, coworkers or even on here.. I havent told several people I know because of their ignorance and i just know they would have negative things to say. I have be told "oh well you don't look that big" and I think to myself well what does it matter what I look like if I feel like crap? Or if my health needs improvement? You're doing this for you, no one else! Keep your head up and if people find out (that you don't want to know) take their comments with a grain of salt and throw it out! Then come on here and get some positive encouragement from people going through what you are.. [emoji173] Best of luck, it'll be hard but it'll be great!

Yesss ! Well I did the first 2 days. Day 4 I today and its gotten better with the occasional burp and force. Yesterday was a good and bad day I went from having so much energy and spunk to feeling my incicision pain and thinking I wanted food to finally feeling full and satisfied. Its all in our minds. Keep taking it one sip at a time and sometimes if you get stuck get up and walk around a little, it wiggles its way down. My plain protein is supposed to come today hoping that will help me get my protein in more by mixing it with G2 (Grape has been my favorite) I could go on for hours [emoji1].. So thankful for this site and knowing I'm not alone! We got this girl! Keep me posted!

Hey WLS peeps! Hope everyone is doing great! Surgery was 3/26. Doing well so far, down 5lbs. Tolerating clear liquids well, my blood sugars have been manageable, pains manageable. I havent done protein shakes yet. Some of my papers say to start 3 days after surgery. I just ordered some isopure plain protein powder. I have orgain powde r but I really prefer the premixed drinks like premier shakes better. Should I be trying to get my protein in now? Its so much liquid! I have a lot of energy earlier in the day and then I get mild pain later on. By the way thank you everyone for your advice and kind words before surgery! If I didn't get to answer anyone i am so sorry I am still getting used to this app plus my new lifestyle. Hope everyone is doing great! Looking forward to hearing from you all! -Emily [emoji173]
