  1. Yeah, I would love to be able to see inside as well. I see you go to doctor Oh in Federal Way, I do as well. They don't seem to think it's weird, but I sure do.
  2. I had a tummy tuck in October. After the surgery it was so tight, I had a complete unfill. Now, I have less than half of the fill prior to surgery, same restriction. Crazy.
  3. For the first few months after surgery (I was banded in March), I had the same thing. My Dr. said it was the fat around my stomach shrinking causing the bad to get loose. The last month or so, I've teetered back and forth with being too tight and then too loose. Hang in there, you'll find the sweet spot.

    Needle Phobia

I agree, they will get better. My first experience was much like yours. I started crying BEFORE they even started the fill. Each one is easier, that's for sure. Either we get used to it, the area gets immune to it, or a combination of both......not sure. Each time I go, I just remind myself it will be less than 3 minutes of drama for a lifetime of rewards! Hang in there!

    How supportive was your husband??

Yes, very true, at least he knows that snacking is the kiss of death....Just wishing that he didn't watch that stickin video. Congrats on your quick goal achievement. Looks like you followed all the rules.

    How supportive was your husband??

I have an opposite problem with my husband. He cooks dinner most nights and prepares my plate. Most nights I see the food and ask, how many ounces is this? He says 6, 8, 4, each night it's a test to see if I will stop when I really need too. UGH. Before they would discharge me, the hospital made him watch a movie that explained the band and new eating habits. If I try to eat a little snack and he hears me he'll holler from the other room "one raisin is a meal." DANG.
  7. I had similar pain after eating popcorn. It lasted a few days. I thought for sure something was wrong (paranoia seems to be my normal thing since the surgery in April). I emailed the doctor who said if it doesn't go away by the next fill, make sure to talk to the staff. Can you email your doctor?
  8. Yep, I'm drinking a LOT more water since being banded. Not sure if it is psychological about the fact I can't drink soda or now that my body is changing it is craving water more.
  9. My doctor has me on three weeks of liquids - anything that could fit through a straw. I'm a week and a half into it. UGH!
  10. I was banded on the 16th. I too had a very hard roundish area around where my port was. When I went for my post op check-up, they said it was just swelling and it would go away. Now, it's just as mushy as the rest of my stomach. But I do agree with everyone else, if it's a concern for you, definitely call your doctor or go to the hospital.
