Smooth Move Tea- whoa boy!

Did you weigh yourself b4 and after pooping? How much did you go? -
The cramping is caused by the medication in the suppository. Many laxatives will do the same thing. Your surgeon recommended the suppository bc it gets instant results. Miralax should be your first choice for bowel maintenance. It will not cause cramps or interact with other medications.

TLC's MY 600-LB LIFE Casting Call for Season 7!
Sleeved36 replied to Alex Brecher's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
NO. 250lbs is not 650lbs. I can understand the emotions and comparisons, but 250lbs is still an independent person that can take care of themselves, not yelling from a bed for thier family to bring them more food and needing full time caregiving. Don't freak out, I am not lacking in compassion. It is painful to watch the emotional and physical struggles that go with being 600 pounds, but 250 is not 650. And is no one else offended by this casting call? I picture producers in a room plotting were they can find obese people. Ah ha! Bariatric pal! And then they post: "Hey fatties: Are any of you fat enough for our show? Give us your stats" -
Fans of Dr. Now....Can you identify this man?
Sleeved36 replied to Creekimp13's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I have been a nurse for 10 years and patients like Steven Assanti are not that rare. His behaviors are the classic demands and manipulations of an addict. And when I say addict I am including all the people who feel justified taking way too many pain pills just because they found a doctor to prescribe them. The tantrums for narcotics are all the same. -
First and second stool *TMI* but please help
Sleeved36 replied to trinjen's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Dark poop post op could be from increased iron supplementation. Take miralax, it is gentle and will mix with anything. Miralax will not interact with other medications and you can't OD. Just take it daily until you feel more normal. Laxatives can mess with bowel motility in ways that miralax will not -
My program says no to patches bc they do not work and no to gummies bc they are incomplete and full of sugar.

Head says "Eat! Eat! Eat!" How do I get through it?!
Sleeved36 replied to bookworm1983's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I have the same problem, sometimes I just want something and it doesn't always matter what it is. My new trick is the have a cup of tea, it can be enough. If I am still wanting something I will have a snack. It's like I am playing a game to sort out stomach hunger and head hunger, which is fine as long as I win the game! -
No way! Awesome job, absolutely inspiring!

So excited for you! Now just watch as you melt away!

NSV- wearing color
Sleeved36 replied to Biddy zz 🏳️🌈's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Look at you! Beautiful color! You just bought it? Don't be mad, but it looks a little bit big on you. Maybe you are used to hiding behind baggy clothes too? Well don't. You have nice curves -
Clothing During Rapid Weightloss Months
Sleeved36 replied to Kay07's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I have surgery soon and am at my high weight. My current clothes should be fine for a moment, then I have a few things in the hopeful/someday corner of my closet. I don't have much bc I never bought myself much thinking "I'll only be this size for a little bit" Well a little bit turned into a few years. But . . . . . SOMEDAY is almost here! -
Did you tell the world about your WLS?
Sleeved36 replied to Bryn910's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I am pre-op and have been pretty open with co-workers so far. Not sure how much family I will tell. I have 3 sisters-in-law that are blonde skinny/hangry/judgey, growing up with them is why my husband likes this curvy brunette! I don't need to hear their under educated opinions about anything. I agree that lying is too much effort and that the more open we are, the more weight loss surgery will lose its stigma. At the same time, we all need to individually decide how much judgement we want to subject ourselves to (especially when you know its coming). -
40+ what is age appropriate clothing to you?
Sleeved36 replied to Healthy_life2's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Oh My, YES. The dirty seaweed look is a thing! And my pet peeve. Let me be clear. You do not have to color your grey hair, empowered women do not need to do anything to look "younger". But you should try to look good at your current age, which NEVER includes growing long stringy for 40 years and never cutting it. -
Maybe its all in my mind, maybe not
Sleeved36 replied to ThatgirlEmLo's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Sorry you are going through this. I am pre-op so maybe not a great help, but this journey is as much emotional as physical Hang in there! -
1 week since I’ve gotten my sleeve I’m new here!

WELCOME and call your surgeon! Some people just have a rough start, but you call the office for some follow up to be sure. -

Any Oregon Sleevers here?
Sleeved36 replied to apositivelife4me's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Foxbins: What surgery did you have? And give me your top 3 pieces of advice post-op, or more if you have them Any particular foods or restaurants that helped? Always looking for local. I meet with the surgeon 4/6 and should get a surgery date right after that (I already know my insurance covers right away, so lucky that way). -

Ha ha! AWESOME. Not mocking you, I mean your sense of humor is awesome. Have you heard of "The Pencil Test". It was suggested as a way to measure breast development for girls. If a girls breast could hold a pencil that meant it was time for a bra. So my question is, what does that mean for your backside? Do they make underwire for the azz? If so what colors and patterns would be best? Picturing so many awesome memes right now . . . . -
Dieting and weight loss slow metabolism, that is why diet and exercise for long term weight loss only works for 5% of people. Your metabolism probably has taken a hit over the years as you have tried dieting. For detailed info Google "Biggest Loser Study". The study was published in 2016 and the results have been repeated in other studies. Subsequent studies found that while diet and exercise PERMANENTLY lowers your metabolism, gastric bypass does NOT. One year after gastric bypass the body's metabolism is back to normal. Sleeve works too, but the biggest research trials have been with bypass patients. You may find that surgery will reset your metabolism completely.

Don't be So Hard on yourself. Dust off and get back to it next week. It is a marathon not a sprint. -
How many people have made it to the weight listed on their drivers license? The DMV thinks I'm not that big, jokes on them! I want to hear from everyone else, unless y'all were honest. Haha as if. I am pre-op, but it is one of my goals/milestones on the way down.
