... and I’m feeling great!! Almost too great. liquid intake is good, no nausea, pain is manageable. If anything is scaring me a little it is my lower right incision that’s knotted and has a constant tugging sensation with some very mild bruising. Anyone else have a good post op experience? (RnY)

It hurts so bad and I feel like I’m ripping something every time [emoji24][emoji24][emoji24][emoji24] 6 days post op. Am I okay/is it okay to cough???

First and second stool *TMI* but please help
trinjen posted a topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Early evening yesterday I had my first bowel movement it was a tan/white color. Late evening I coughed and swore I ripped something on the inside but surgeon said as long as the outside is fine I am fine. This morning I pooped again but this time it was the darkest green almost black... Is this normal? 5 days post op. -
Good luck! I hope that’ll change for you too

Right!!! Same exact here!

Oh yeah!!! I’m still terrified of busting a staple or dumping so I’m following everything to a T, except today I took 15ml milk of mag and I think I had a slight dump from that.. sweats nausea felt like I was either going to be sick or use the bathroom, I’m afraid to try it again needless to say lol.

Silly Anesthesia Question
trinjen replied to inthekeyofp's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The come down for me was a breeze!! No nausea, no rambles, I slept! They kept waking me up and I kept telling them to leave me alone. -
Y’all idk.. I’m so connected to this fat suit I don’t know if I’m ready to give it up. What flips when they finally give you a date?!? I was SO READY and excited doing all of my pre-op testing/appts then bam, got that call today and I’m freaking out! [emoji30][emoji24]🤦🏻♀️

My elbows are a darker color, I’ve scrubbed, I’ve used fade lotions, I’ve tried every home remedy. It’s not dry caked on skin it’s just a pigmentation discoloration- to clarify. Did this go away after weight loss? Hoping it does because it only appeared after weight gain [emoji849][emoji849][emoji849]

Trying to find women like me who had surgery to regain their fertility.. I have secondary infertility due to pregnancy induced Hypothyroid with an underlying of PCOS. Basically before baby 1 I was healthy & fit with no issues. That pregnancy caused my thyroid to crap out, causing the imbalance of hormones (pcos), causing the weight gain... Here I am 3 years later & 180lbs heavier getting surgery in two weeks as an RE (reproductive endocrinologist) recommendation to hopefully conceive naturally when I am cleared to do so. I am 23, reach out with your story if you are or were in the same boat!!

Mine was 2 hours long. Hour and a half of talking and question asking, we just had casual conversation it felt like honestly. But her questions were about my child hood, my self image, how I problem solve, etc etc. then a half hour to take a questionnaire on paper that asked the same exact question in 10 different ways to make sure my answers lined up lol it was super annoying. That was mine. I’ve seen other people say they were in office for ten minutes, some said their psychiatrist required three base visits before determining if they pass or if they need more. It all depends so you’re not going to get a straight answer unless you find someone here who went to the same psych as you.

I bought the tespo, I originally used patches, surgeon is making me buy his recommendation too and I still don’t know what the heck I actually want to do post op. I need the easiest regimen. What is yours? Picture of products, how much you spend monthly, and the schedule you take them on.. Also have synthroid to add in too and I think that is what’s stressing me out because I’ll prob have to take that in the middle of the night considering that can’t be taken with any form of iron or calcium.
-
I’ll have to ask about it, that doesn’t sound right.
-
What’s your schedule with the 3 of calcium? Since it needs to be spread out by 500 at a time and not with the multi?
-
Ps- I quit cold turkey after being a pack/day smoker for 10 years. Your lousy one a day is just dumb to me honestly lol
-
Just don’t. If you only smoke once a day then what’s the point

Dental issues after Gastric Bypass things they never tell you!
trinjen replied to Datsweetbabydoll 2's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
I’m shocked to see people here don’t know about this... it’s kind of common sense. Take your calcium citrate, not carbonate, make sure your levels are good and see the dentist 2x a year. -
Got my Surgery Date!!!! :) 4/2/18! Calling out any April surgery buddies!!!!

Anyone with an IUD have issues?
trinjen replied to katibugg's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It’s from weight loss. Fatty cells hold onto estrogen too much estrogen = not enough progesterone & not enough progesterone = no period. With out without a hormonal birth control. So when you begin to lose weight shrinking those fatty cells you are depleting the estrogen, thus causing a balance between progesterone and estrogen resulting in a bleed. That is why many women who become obese and estrogen dominant, myself included, have WLS as a step to restore their fertility. Sooo, congrats!! You’re fertile again!! I can’t wait to be too [emoji322] -
We don’t have a sitter.. Will my 2 year old allowed to be there with my husband and I right before the surgery and after? I am staying over night in the hospital while they stay over night in a hotel so I’m not asking about that; just about the time gaps so I’m not completely alone the entire time.

Mine was 4 months, 4 appointments, not exactly 120 days.
