Come on July Bansters, there has to be more confirmed than 18? There were a few more possible dates, but I decided they can each list their date with a ? next to thier name cause it could change. Can anyone jazz this up? I'm so excited I could PB, I jokes... -

Hey you, what an awesome date, it's mine too... Does anyone know how to do the day by day line up so we can see who is on what date in July? I tried to start it, I'll go see if it ever panned out...Yea how many days?////28 om goodness, it will be here before we know... I've gotten some cherry unjury and it tastes pretty good. I also want to try the chicken soup...I'm so scared of a slippage I'm going to stay as long as I can on the liquid...I can't wait...

I'm excited and nervous all at the same time too! To be real the complication rate is very low less than 2%, heck those are pretty good odds if you ask me and good or bad, everything happens for a reason...I think we would all rather go through this process than be fat anymore...that is why we are here right? We have tried everything else and it didn't work. My mom had a bad knee she had surgery to fix it, I don't see a big difference. My head/stomach hunger is broken so I am getting it fixed. If you had a bad liver or heart you would get it fixed, right? I think we are all doing what we need to do to become happier and healthier so block out the fear and focus on the positives, it will help you heal faster, just my several cents :thumbup:) All the best to everyone! Hello fellow July Bandidterrs- yea like that is spelled right! I've seen a big list on other sites for people to sign up on the day of your surgery, maybe we could do the same here so that we can see who, when type of a deal? Anyone interested? TELL Me about it, my 1st date was 5/5/08, then 6/2/08 and now, I'm not sure...I was sick the 1st time and then babysitter issues the 2nd time, so now I'm making sure everything is in place before I even schedule it again...talk about frustrating, but like they say everything happens for a reason... ) -

Great question, I too have had 2 ceasarean births and I did good, so I'm planning on doing great with the laporscopic surgery... but I was curious to see about all this gas pain and such that I've been hearing about. Thanks for the feedback everyone. I also heard that your body will recover faster if you exercise now, before the surgery, so I started today-30 min.s on the tmill, ya hoo baby... 13 days to go... -

Hello, I also had to cancel my May 5th surgery because of a cold, I had a bronchial infection and I was coughing for ever so I'm glad that I didn't do the surgery, but I am still depressed. I will talk with Nina to see when I can reschedule, but the finances are a little tight too, so that's hard when your self pay...but like someone said, everything happens for a reason and better safe than sorry. I will try again...All the best everyone...

klily, ur 2 funny!!! I love it ...Shrinko De Mayos!!! Has anyone heard of Jus? Its supposed to be a super antioxidant drink, there are so many out there how do you compare? also have you decided on some protien drinks? I have no access up here in AK, so I don't want to buy anything unless it comes highly recommended, ya know what I mean? Also low cost is a bonus, ya know self pay and all... I heard the Choc Whey protein at Wal mart is good any feedback? Thanks all, its almost 12 days...and counting....Oh unhappy news I gained a couple pounds, but I am going to start exercising tomorrow!!! The nurse today said I would heal faster if I exercised before the surgery... All the best...

We should call ourselves the "Shrink O De Mayo's" I can't take credit for that one, but I totally love it... We will really be able to support eachother because we are going through it all on the same day! I'm freakin excited!!! I cannot wait! I don't think I've ever been my goal weight of 145...I think I just skipped over that one in like 4th grade or something like that... This is awesome and then some... Hello All you May Flowers... I'm new to this so I'm hoping I'm doing it right... I'm from Alaska and I'm 38. I've been overweight since forever, I remember a teacher making fun of my weight...sad, but I'm almost over it...ha ha. I've tried every diet known to woman-and they don't work so this is my saving grace. I am so excited!!! May 5th can't come soon enough. Some one said in another post that us May 5thiers are the "shrink O De Mayos" Isn't that the best? I think thats hilarious! I'm just so excited and excited and excited I just can't stand it... Yea to all of us for making this decision for our health and happiness!!!

Hello fellow 5th-iers, wow we will have a really big reason to celebrate Cinco De Mayo for sures... Starting the Atkins pre op this Friday and I decided to put myself on a liquid diet 3 days before surgery just to be on the safe side becuase I'm freaked out about my liver...have you all seen the actual surgery? Very interesting... We will have to keep in touch afterwards becuase I'm a little nervous, but excited... I'm self pay going to San Diego, then Mexicali, Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

Hey everyone, I'm soo glad that I'm not the only one with this syndrome, talk about freaky! I want something and I can't quite find it so I'm eating everything I can. As I eat it I think to myself, this isn't even that good, but I keep doing it...what is up with that? I guess that is what food aholic's do...I'm so ready for this tool to help my mind do whats right for my body...it's time to listen to the band... Next week I start my diet, but it's not really going to help if I keep pigging out. I just have to tell myself that I can have whatever I want in moderation-ya right, I wish I could just not eat at all sometimes, ya know? What a hassle, everything that tastes good is bad for us anyways...maybe I can just live on those protien shots that people are talking about, I guess I'll have a chance to find that out post op...hello anyone have any ideas? Help...

Deband...what does your Dr. say? You should really check with them and see what they recommend. Also you have to ask yourself are those drinks worth it? Only you can decide that... It's all up to you man, cause you have to live with the consequences, right...(Don't you love it when people really don't help you make a decision and say its up to you??? Ha ha ahaha.) In other words does doing what you did in the past still work for you? If not then change, if yes then keep doing it, right? Just slow down and ponder these questions, you are in control, you will make the right decision...ok enough with that...don't do it alcohol is just empty calories.. there -good luck with your choice...We support you no matter what... :tt1:) JaJeanne -

Hey there sandiegophotog, That is a big bummer! For sure, but lets look at the silver lining,,,it may be a blessing in disguise that you found out before, not after that they really don't have it together...I'm going to San Diego on May 4th to see Dr. Aceves in Mexicali on the 5th and I cannot wait. I've researched him for about a year and I've heard nothing but good things and I'm self paying...So I'm really excited. you need to spend more time reading becuase there are lots of good ideas and advice. I'm a newbie so I love it... Well don't worry it will all work out. Definately review your options, the place doesn't sound good.... All the best JaJeanne ) -

Hello sheemac32 and others. Make sure you read up on pages 1 & 2 becuase they are talking about why you need the liquid diet. I am a total newbie, but from what I've read it depends on how much weight you need to lose, but the smaller the liver the easier the surgery, so if I were you I would just ask and see what your Dr says. Better safe than sorry huh? I've gotten hope from the others doing ok on the liquid diet, you go girls! (and boys if any.) All the best.. 19 days yea! -

Hang in there everyone, we can do it, just remember why we are doing this...It is worth it, this is a tool to help us. When the weight starts melting off and we feel better than we have in (my whole life for me) in a long time, it will be worth it... Positivity, positivity, positivity. We can do it, I can do it, it is worth it, If we want to be successful in losing weight. Some of us may not be ready, so we need to be really honest with ourselves. From what I've read you had better not go through with the surgery unless you are willing to stick to the diet plan. I'm scared straight. I do not want a slippage so I am stickin to that plan like no other... As I say all this before I actually start my diet, but I've been on everything from the "veg soup diet" to the "green veg shake thing", so I know I can do this because the weight won't come back this time... YEA!!! We can do it.... Hope for the best, but be prepared for the worst:) -

Hey everyone, I had the same question until I saw the actual surgery on this site, the liver has to be shrunk because it is in the way of the surgery. I recommend that you watch the videos, they are gross, but the real deal...check them out...
