Any March 2018 Sleevers?
The World In My Eyes replied to NelliSleeve's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Well since some are sharing, I want to motivate others who may be struggling. I was 251 before surgery 28 March 2018 and now weigh 153. I still feel like I could lose more if my body allows as my legs are a size or 2 larger than my upper body. Also, I plan on getting a tummy tuck (one day, fingers crossed) as I have a serious spare tire underneath these leggings:) We shall see but I’ve been the same weight for almost 3 months so I will keep on doing hard work with exercises. For me, group fitness classes have kept me motivated and seeing results if that helps anyone. I took these to send to my aunt so sorry for the quality but you get the gist. -

Amazing!! Is that the same sweater?! I know it can’t be as you have lost a whole person and are so much healthier I can imagine! I have stalled as well after losing 98 pounds (I now weigh 153) but I do exercise vigorously 3-5 times a week along with trying to eat only 3 meals a day of mostly protein. I’m hoping switching up my workouts to less weight classes and more cardio will help me over this hump but haven’t lost weight in 3 months. Maybe if you switched up workouts this would help. Keep it up cuz you have had amazing results girlie! -

Who didn’t/doesn’t have to do 2 weeks liquid?
The World In My Eyes replied to canari's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thank you for responding:) I weigh 229 and my BMI is 39%, I’ve lost 21 pounds before I could see the dr (that’s how the VA system works before the army sees us, in the area I live in anyway). They make every patient do a two week liquid diet, I’m sure all have a hard time and we are all different sizes I noticed when I went to a class. I’m may not as big as some other patients but I am hangry ha ha!! -

Who didn’t/doesn’t have to do 2 weeks liquid?
The World In My Eyes replied to canari's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Mine is the 28th too and I am on an all liquid diet (sugar free items) for 2 weeks. Unlike you, I do feel hungry a lot. They said females can only have between 60-70 grams of protein, which means 2 shakes for me and one yogurt. The rest is sugar free jello’s, puddings and soups with no chunks. How have you managed to stay full? Have you tried the ready made Premier Proteins? The chocolate and Bananas and Cream are really good. -

Pre-Op Liquid Diet Struggle Bus
The World In My Eyes replied to lindseypb's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I’m on the same bus [emoji590]Day 1 of 12 for the liquid diet and it was rough. Assume will get more challenging but praying I can make it without a slip up. I’ve waited so many years for this time to come. -

Who didn’t/doesn’t have to do 2 weeks liquid?
The World In My Eyes replied to canari's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
So glad I found this thread! I’m having mine on the 28th and I have to have an all liquid diet for 2 weeks before surgery. My start weight was 251, I lost 20 pounds before being considered so my BMI is now 39%. Don’t know why my dr is so strict when I don’t have very high BMI and no other health issues (no diabetes, no high blood pressure, etc.) Today was day one of liquid diet and it was rough. I can imagine it will become harder and harder as I will be even more hangry. Any suggestions out there? -

Good luck going back to work! I haven’t told anyone in either of our families nor friends. Only my husband and a girl who I met at the classes we had to take beforehand. Just don’t want the judgement nor unwanted opinions that won’t be helpful. I’ll tell some people when I’m healthier and it’s well over, so their opinions won’t matter at that point. -

Mine is the 28th and I start an all liquid diet for 2 weeks tomorrow. Seems like a long time and only liquid the whole time isn’t that common compared to others on here and videos I’ve watched of others before their surgeries. Wish me luck!! And as someone stated, I’m a Taurus having surgery in Aries! [emoji12] -
