Hey everyone! I’m new to the forum and wanted to get to know y’all. My surgery is next Wednesday, March 14th. A little nervous but feeling positive about it. I’m so proud of the members I’ve seen here that lost weight prior to surgery. That is quite an accomplishment! I’m not sure I would have the patience to do that. I chose to be a cash pay patient without using insurance. I had my consultation this week and my surgery is 8 days later! I know I’m moving extremely fast, but I’m on unemployment now and it’s the perfect time to do this so that I don’t have to take off time from a new job to recuperate. I started my pre-op liquid diet this morning and so far, so good. Protein shake was fine and now I’m sipping my water. I’m so ready for this! I’ve been waiting years to have the money saved up. All of my insurance plans over the years did not cover bariatric surgery. I’m so excited and can’t wait to get to know y’all! Good luck to us all. [emoji847]
