So tired but unable to fall asleep

Web MD isn't a Dr and if you're using it for something other than what it's intended for, that's addict behavior. Most of us didn't get here by not being an addict of some kind. Nowhere does it say it's used for trouble sleeping. It says it helps by you falling asleep. Your brain is transmitted wrong signals. It's not healthy to take medication for something is not intended for. Any drug and alcohol counselor will tell recovering addicts and alcoholics to stay away from it. Not being able to sleep isn't an allergic reaction. The melatonin in your body has been changed somehow, more than likely from a big change such as surgery. Where does everyone live? (General area)

That's my thoughts too. My unhealthy relationship with food. I'm a recovering alcoholic/addict and apparently I suck at moderation. It's all our nothing. I have a huge network of support and the closer I get to my day, the more excited I am. We got this!! Sent from my Z983 using BariatricPal mobile app

    Apple Cider Vinegar Shots

It's horrible for your teeth. Drink lots of water after to get the acid out of your mouth away from your teeth. It is another fad, but to each their own. Sent from my Z983 using BariatricPal mobile app

So tired but unable to fall asleep

Benadryl is very unhealthy unless used for allergies short term and can be habit forming. Melatonin is better and our bodies produce it. Drs tell addicts that it is safe to use for a sleep aid because it's non habit forming. Sent from my Z983 using BariatricPal mobile app

    April sleevers!

I start my 2 we diabetic liquid pre op diet on the 20th. I'm going tomorrow to get all my juices, broth, Chrystal light, and another big container of protein powder so I have 2 different flavors. My sleeve went from 7:30 to 7 am on the 3rd. I go on the 20th for a pre op class, registration, and my upper GI. I'll be so busy on the 20th I'll forget no food. Which will be OK until dinner. But I'm super stoked. Sent from my Z983 using BariatricPal mobile app

Where does everyone live? (General area)

I'm excited to start mine because I'm that much closer to surgery. But, I went to the grocery store with my Family yesterday and I was sad walking down the isles. I was sad seeing all the foods I won't be able to enjoy anymore and foods I won't be able to have at all. My husband reminded me that this is for a good reason and I probably won't think about those foods much or any after my new lifestyle. Sent from my Z983 using BariatricPal mobile app

    Want a Sleeve Buddy?

You'll have a date before you know it. When I went to my doctor last Tuesday I was expecting a may or June surgery because his office told me they were scheduling 2 months out. Instead, they scheduled me for April 3, less than a month out. My higher Power working for me. Sent from my Z983 using BariatricPal mobile app

    Want a Sleeve Buddy?

I think everyone does with my Dr. It's typed on the appointment sheet with all my dates. I'm just so ready for the 20th. Sent from my Z983 using BariatricPal mobile app

    Want a Sleeve Buddy?

Sweet. Protein powders are so expensive, but they're huge containers so well worth it. I got a chocolate mocha and then I'm going to buy mint chocolate chip. I was told before I have vitamin D deficiency, but nothing recent. I know I'll be meeting with a dietitian and the hospital pharmacist during my class on the 20th. Want a Sleeve Buddy?

I start my 14 day on March 20. I also have a 2 hour meeting with the nutritionist and other staff, an upper GI, and hospital registration. I can't eat after midnight then after my upper GI I start my liquid diet. I bought some protein powder and need to go buy my other liquids. Then the day before I have to do bowel prep. Want a Sleeve Buddy?

I honestly can't remember if I needed a letter from my Dr or not. It's been a year ago I started this process. My Bmi is 42 and I have co-morbidities. Sent from my Z983 using BariatricPal mobile app

    Want a Sleeve Buddy?

Bmi of 40 or greater, 35 with co-morbidity, 6 visits with a healthcare professional regarding weight and weight loss (recording monthly weights), psych evaluation. That was for the insurance. Sent from my Z983 using BariatricPal mobile app

I have United Healthcare. It's usually horrible getting approved for things, so I was shocked I got approved so fast even with all the requirements. Sent from my Z983 using BariatricPal mobile app

    Want a Sleeve Buddy?

I think once my Dr submitted all my requirements to my insurance, it took less than a week to get approved. I would have already had surgery, but my surgeon had some kind of surgery himself so I had to wait. He was the only Dr that takes my insurance at that facility. April surgery

That's what I got too. I have to drink so much protein drink (I bought different than the sample because they had pre mixed drinks and I bought powder). I have to drink certain approved things every 2 hours, then I have my free items like water, flavored sugar free water, sugar free Popsicle, decaf tea or coffee. April surgery

That's a good idea. I've been waiting. Getting the things I need pre op and post op. Today or tomorrow I'm going to make out a list of things I need and write a sample menu of what I like. I got one, but not exactly of things I'll drink. Sent from my Z983 using BariatricPal mobile app

    April surgery

Everyone's insurance is different. My cousin and my cousins wife got approved and had surgery in no time. It has taken me almost exactly a year to reach the requirements and have surgery. I was approved in November, but my surgeon had some kind of surgery so my first appointment with him was this month. Thankfully my surgery is in less than a month though.
