Father of two boys, husband, football coach, die hard Patriots Fan, Red Sox fan, beach lover, member of No Shoes Nation, who has just started his journey to live life to the fullest again!!
After practically living in the gym for years as a high school & college athlete, I fell into the real life patterns and the first thing that tended to go was my focus on working out. I got a real Job, married, bought a house, had kids, then came the kids activities, coaching, etc. These were my everyday excuses not to workout anymore even remotely the past 15yrs and I am now paying for it! My weight ballooned to 387lbs.
After seeing a friend go through the sleeve surgery last year, I decided to look into it for myself as a means to get back to where I wanted to be. So the lengthy process begin. While trying to complete all the prerequisites, on 2/5/18, after my beloved Patriots lost the Super Bowl, I decided it was time to speed the weight loss process up. I cut my carbs significantly, got into ketosis, and started shedding some pre-surgery weight. I was approved for surgery and had gastric sleeve on 6/20/18.  Since Feb 2018 I have dropped 137lbs and continue on my weight loss journey. My ultimate goal is to get to 210lbs and 20% body fat, which would be 20lbs under my playing weight days!! With my kids being 15 and 10, I am so looking forward to being able to work out with my boys especially hard & heavy with my oldest son to help get him ready for his own high school football journey!
