I’m 3 days shy of 3 weeks post vsg and my hair is already falling!!! Lots! I get in protein, take vitamins, biotin, fluids etc; but it’s DEFINITELY falling out. 🤷🏽‍♀️ My NUT says it’s an effect of the anesthesia.

Hello everyone! I’m 12 days post op , down 14 days & I must say recovery has gone great! I’ve migrated to Purée foods on Day 10 & have been able to tolerate all that I’ve tried thus far. No issues, no complaints or any complications. Blessed! My hardest feat has been getting my 60 oz; in and I do that by starting early in the am and sip alllllllllll day! I get protein shakes in between that as well. Good luck to all those waiting for surgery! Best decision ever.

Yes! My stomach DEFINITELY makes gurgling noises when I drink. It’s not painful though. Lol! My daughter prescribed me antacids and that’s helped.

Will pray for your recovery as well! I was VERY nervous and scared and expecting some type of adverse reaction. Even at this early level; anytime I try a new food, I’m anticipating or a little nervous that I won’t tolerate it, but so far so good. Good luck on your surgery! I’m sure you’re equally excited!

Surgery went well; discharged last night. Spent 2 nights in the hospital. Very sore; and have found it difficult to get in and out of bed or recliner. Not hungry at all. BUT the gas pain is horrid! I didn’t experience any until 1 day post op; still experiencing. Taken gasX and it helps very little

Good luck! Mine is tomorrow too! Soooooo excited!! And yes I guess it’s the food addiction, I keep thinking about NOT having food, certain foods etc, too!

Yes, Apple, and cranberry juices, but I didn’t have any of those

I’m on day 5 of my pre-op liquid and have GAINED 6lbs! WTH!? I’m assuming it’s the sodium from the broths.... Totally insane!

Says I can consume 3- 8oz cups of broth per day, 4 shakes, 2 cups skim milk and water

Hi I’m on premier protein shakes(3), no other milks, about 3 cups of broth per day. My diet was broth, clear liquids,, sf jello, sf popsicles, & juice. I’ve only had broths & shakes. I’m VERY sensitive to sodium, so imagine that could be the culprit. Going to try and switch to reduced sodium broth and see if that helps.

No not from my doctor; I I harassed BCBS customer service twice a day for a status! Lol! I would call once in the morning and once in the afternoon! I was too anxious to wait for my doctor to contact me.

Just found out from BCBS that I'm approved! Surgery date July 16, 2018! Super excited!!!!!!
