Good Morning All, So I had the endoscppy yesterday, still not able to keep anything down. Turns out, no perforation, whihc is a good thing, but i was kinda hoping it was the case, then i would have no choice but to have the band out. The bacd has slipped and my band dr said well do you still want to have it out? I have an appt with him this afternoon to discuss. if it is slipped, don't i have to have it out?? OR can it be fixed without having it out? I thought i had made my decision to have it removed, i am so sick of being miserable and sick and tired and have zero energy. I feel like if i have it out, having come as far as i have, I will be able to maintain my current wait. I actually need to add about 10 lbs back to my frame. Any thoughts ?? Thanks Everyone.

met with the gastro dr today. She is VERY concerned about my symptoms. Have to have a CT scan early next week for the lower abdominal pain then 2 days later, i am having the endoscopy. Dr is concerned about stomach perforation. where the band actually goes through the stomach. i am getting concerned. if that is the case, out comes the band and i battle itout on my own. which has me PETRIFIED. I am so worried about gaining weight. But i have a great support system and good local gyms! Th one thing i have learned, LISTEN to your body i am upset that i did not push my dr further 2 months ago with this. i should have listened to my body. whatever the outcome. i would not change my course. if i had not had the band i would be 100 pounds heavier. will keep you posted

Thanks Bay City, Congrats to you for taking the leap. Even with all the pain i am going through, I would do it all over again. There is nothing more satisfying then see the smaller #'s. Good luck and thanks!

Hi everyone, I was banded 02/2007 and as of today's step on the scale i have lost 99 pounds. I am excited that i have come this far, but the last 15-20 pounds has not really been so fun. I get sick everytime i eat. I am in constant pain, in my chest, i feel like i have a 100 pound weight on my chest. I have pulled muscles in my back from vomiting. my lap band doc, bless his heart, has seen me everytime i call the office. unfortunatly, nothing is wrong with the band. I realize this is a good thing, but having an answer would be even better. I had an upper GI it was totally clear and everything went through just fine. I have an appointment with an Gastro Dr. Next week. Nothing is helping, I am eating tums A LOT. Please help! :smile2:

Ok, so I was really freaking out on friday night, ready to go to the ER, was so tired of getting sick, the whole 9 yards. My dad talked me out of the ER, they would not have done anything over the wekeend anyway. Really took it easy , just drank warm tea with unflavored Unjury (unjury.com) protein powder. Seemed to help, continued on Saturday with more Protein powder. Was able to talk to my family and get some stressful things off my chest (I swear i felt it loosen immediately) Feeling much better today, just still going slow. Talked to Dr, he said to do all this and if I was still throwing up we would do an endoscopy. have no thrown up in 3 days. As to how I lost so much so quick, STRESS !! I had my life tuned upside down six months after being banded, my mom passed away suddenly, be the only responsible sibling, I have been taking care of just about everything and am not building a house with my future husband so i think i really just needed to get my feelings off my chest! It is amazing how much this has changed my life. I thank you all for your thoughts and support.

banded 02/08/2007--85 pounds lost. SOOOO happy about that unitl ( you knew that was coming !) about 6 weeks ago. was eating ok, being cautious, but eating my fair share came to a screeching halt. Canot stop getting sick, keep going back to clear liqiuds, had all the fliud removed from the band, confirmed no slippage or corrosion. I am thinking about having surgery reversed, but REALLY don't want to do that. I am at the end of my rope! does anyone have any thoughts or advice? Amy
